How many here home church? And what are some of the obstacles you run in to?

The biggest obstacle is that people don't like home church because of preconceived notions of what a church should be, i.e. brick and mortar, Sunday School, pulpit, pews, etc. Meeting in a home means you are forced to be close, open, and tranparent. This goes against our protective nature. Also, it can be lonely. we did it for several years.
We finally found a fellowship we like of (mostly) ex-Amish that are born again and somewhat open to the leadership of the Spirit of God to direct them. They, likje all people and grouops, have cultural things to overcome. We appreciate them and how they try. It is an atmosphere that IS condusive to large conservative families.

I know a family that home churches. They are beholden to nobody for doctrine or practice except themselves and outsiders are not welcome as far as I can tell. This can be dangerous.
