I used to make liquid laundry soap but stopped because I couldn't figure out the dinginess problem. I used fels-naptha, borax and washing soda. I want to figure out which ingredient might be causing this problem and either substitute or leave it out altogether . Any ideas?

I hope someone here can help you. We don't have room in our motorhome for doing this so I'm pretty useless for advice. We use Persil detergent from Walmart. It's cheap and everything comes out clean even in campground laundries. sometimes the water is problem.

Okay. I never thought about the water possibly being the problem. I haven't made any detergent since we moved here. We don't have a well like some of the people here. Our little subdivision uses city water even though we are rural. Thank you Guadalupe!
