Show-Me State abortuaries putting 'women's health' in jeopardy Thursday, August 30, 2018 | Charlie Butts
Women seeking an abortion in Missouri are being cautioned about seeking services at Planned Parenthood clinics.
The abortion giant operates three clinics in Missouri – but all have questionable track records. The facility in Kansas City had to close because it could not find a doctor willing to terminate the lives of preborn children. Susan Klein, executive director of Missouri Right to Life, tells OneNewsNow that was good news – but the latest word isn't.
"They are going to be getting their license back. The Department of Health put out that notice," she shares. "So we're disappointed in this. We continue to look for ways to save babies and protect women across the state of Missouri."
But Klein says the Kansas City abortuary isn't off the hook. "I know that Director Randall Williams [with the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services] has said that he is going to continue to do inspections of the clinic," she informs.
According to the pro-life leader, the Columbia-based Planned Parenthood continues to struggle because it doesn't have an abortionist on site all the time. OneNewsNow has reported several times on the Planned Parenthood in St. Louis and its troubles.
"The St. Louis clinic had some pretty bad violations," notes Klein, "so there was concern there, especially with all the ambulances that are being called."
In March, Operation Rescue documented two abortion patients during an 11-day period who were transported to emergency rooms after abortions – and 69 overall in the last eight-and-a-half years.
Klein suggests an option for Missouri women considering an abortion: pro-life pregnancy centers, of which there are many in the state. Those facilities, she says, will allow those women to explore other options to give life to their babies.
