Challenging abortion supporters with 'Unplanned'

A pro-life student group has issued a challenge: take an abortion supporter to see the film, “Unplanned.”
Matt Lamb of Students for Life of America says SLA is offering to purchase the movie ticket if a pro-life student brings a pro-choice friend to see the film, which is based on the biography of the same name by former Planned Parenthood executive Abby Johnson.
The film, starring “War Room” actress Ashley Bratcher as Johnson, has expanded to more theatre screens after a strong opening weekend.
"We've already heard some success,” Lamb says. “We have someone who works for us. She brought her mom who was a pro-choice, liberal, Planned Parenthood supporter and is now against Planned Parenthood, understands the pro-life point of view, and we're hearing other stories like that just in the past week."
In February, Students for Life brought the “Gosnell” film to college campuses and Lamb says that effort birthed the current “Unplanned” challenge.
"We heard similar stories of people who went to see the Gosnell movie and became pro-life," Lamb explains. "We actually worked with the makers of the film and we were able to bring the 'Gosnell' movie to over 90 campuses."
It’s important that Hollywood is witnessing people line up to watch a pro-life message, Lamb adds, whether people are bringing a pro-choice friend or organizing a church group to view the film.
