Be careful with the Ray Comfort tracts. I like them too but I have decided to give them up because they use bad Bibles.

PRAYER governs conduct and conduct makes character. Conduct is what we do;Character is what we are.

Bro Bobby (sojourner) What a blessing for your church -- to see the souls saved and just know the Lord is at work there. Our church family, locally, is also SBC. That wasn't what we looking for when we arrived, however, the first weekend here, they showed up...you'd have to see where we live to understand how incredible this was. It was ALL GOD, for sure. We have a 1/4 mile driveway that runs up between 2 fields, totally covered with trees and grasses, just about in the middle of nowhere. You simply don't turn up our drive by mistake...most miss it even when looking for it They were preparing for a week of revival meetings and were out canvassing the area, passing out information. We spoke briefly, and decided the Lord had to have brought them here, so we went that week. The preaching was wonderful, and they made a clear statement of their stand every evening....Rienzi Baptist is here solely to meet 3 purposes for the Lord...Their 'mission statement' is plain and to the point. 1) Love the Lord whole-heartedly 2) Love one another as you love the Lord 3) Go out among the people and tell them of that incredible love. They are involved in some missions, but they truly feel that the first goal for them, or any Bible-believing church, is to meet the needs of the community around them first...help those families in need in your own backyard, bring those families into the church and share with them God's Saving Grace. Once they have brought all of the Rienzi to Salvation (whether it be at our church or another Bible-believing church), then you branch out farther into the area. Your first goal should be those in your own backyard. There is some 'old blood' at the church who feel the importance lies in reaching to other countries -- El Salvador seems to be a pet project for some -- but the current Preacher is more focused on the people he meets daily in the neighborhood. It will be interesting to watch how the church continues to grow and unfold in this area. However -- all my rambles are to say, May the Lord continue to richly bless your efforts there! Deanna
