;)A friend of mine had a wonderful idea for birthday parties for your children to make it a learning experience. Instead of the children bringing gifts for your child, pick an orginazation, like a crisis pregnancy center or spousal abuse clinic and post on the invites for the children to bring baby toys or something that goes with the charity you choose instead of a gift for your child. You as a parent would buy a gift for your child( one you approve of) then all the "gifts" your child recieves at the party would be loaded into the car and the child could deliver them to that charity. this way they learn to share, learn to give of themselves, and you don't need to worry about toys they will only play with once or twice. I found this idea wonderful as I want my children to learn to give of themselves and what better present to a child than to teach them a valuable lesson in serving the Lord.
