I found this poem in my Keepers At Home magazine and I thought I would share it.
"How Rates My Home
The beauty of the home is order. The blessing of the home is contentment. The glory of the home is hospitality. The crown of the home is godliness."

Hooray! I'll go and look at it. Aren't you blessed by the KAH magazine? When it comes in I sit right down and read it cover to cover.

Yep me too.. I always read it cover to cover when I get it.. good thing it only comes 4 times a year huh.. LOL I always check the mail when I take the boys to the bus stop of the mornings so I get to come in after they are on the bus, have a cup of coffee, and read my KAH while the other two are still sleeping.. I thought I had sent his announcement to the wrong address but I guess it just didn't get there in time to make the fall issue.. I also just received some back copies of Making it Home and I love it also.. I went ahead and suscribed to it after getting the back issues.. it is a WONDERFUL magazine also.. Yes here is the link www.makingithomemagazine.com/ I hope that works.. Anyway, every issue they have P31 article, a Song of Solomon article for marriage, they have an article on raising girls, one on boys, and many, many other articles.. it is a thick magazine with no advertisements.. In the front cover it says.... " About making it home magazine" " Society has been telling women for years that having a career is the only path to fulfillment and happiness, and that being a wife, a mother and a homemaker not only wasn't work, but was demeaning and a waste of potential. The philosophy has now been shaping our culture for decades, and we have to ask, is it working? Are our marriages stronger, are our children productive and civil, do women who have bought into this philosophy fell the fulfillment and happiness they were promised?"
The answer we have heard from many disillusioned women around the world is NO, and there is a growing trend of these same women who are now walking away from the impossible do it all have it all way of life that they have been told they must lead as they instead follow their hearts to live the life that they feel they should lead. In doing so, they not only face the scorn of many in our society, but also the realization that, in many instances, they simply don't know what to do or how to do it. We want to help." Our Vision: A society that values family above all other worldly things Our Mission: To support & encourage women who have chosen to devote themselves entirely to their families. Our Priorities: 1) God- First, the unbreakable foundation 2) Marriage- The greatest gift parents can give their children is to love each other 3) Children- Secure & Happy in the safety of their family structure 4) Home- The physical shell built around the framework of the family...."Anyway that is what it is in a nutshell, they have cleaning, organizing and short cut tips, child rearing, hosting, being a lady, devotional thoughts..etc...... I just found them a couple of weeks ago and ordered my back issues, they are a fairly new magazine as there are only 8 back issues and the number 9 issue which was sent out this month.. the next issue is due in the spring.. it is like $22 a year or something and back issues are $5 each I think.. I ordered mine in two groups so I can't remember.. I really like everything in it and have enjoyed reading it.. It is much like keepers at home, except they do not teach head covering, they support it and those who choose to do so though and there are articles written by Alicia Scott from "Plain & Simple Coverings" and other names that I recognize from head covering sites.. Anyway, I am just rambling away.. Go check it out.. I would suggest it for any woman, working or non working, as it has great tips and advice and recipes and so forth.. In Christ's Love, Heather
