Those pictures are Wonderful! What a blessing! My favorites were The Muslim woman, the man holding the baby, and prayer, and the husband kissing the letter from his wife. ( at least thats what I suppose because of the wedding band ) Thank you brother for these heart warming pictures. Oh I almost forgot the boy and the cat...That would be like my son...He loves animals.

I have seen those previously. I am pleased you decided to share them with those who may not have.
In our Church we have had a number of men deployed to Iraq. One of them a deacon and a very good friend and brother. He served as the Executive Officer of Kirkuk Air Force Base. When he returned he shared some wonderful slides with the Church. Many of them showed the reaction of the Iraqi people to the US presence. It is not what we see on the news. Another interesting aspect is the type of weapons used against both the Iraqi people and our troops by the terrorists. Many people believe these to be weapons supplied to Iraq by the US when we were on friendlier terms. The reality is a great deal of the rockets, mortars and rocket propelled grenades are Chinese Communist in origin. Some of them are of exactly the same type used against our troops in Viet Nam. That does not hit the news either.
Another Church member who served is a Navy Lt. Cmdr. who is a Chaplain. He served with the 2/23rd Marines during the invasion a couple of years ago. I corresponded with him while he was there. The stories he related to me are also quite in opposition to what the news generally shows. One of the things he detailed was about medical facilities. Each and every time they moved to a different place ans set up medical facilities they treated not only the civilians of the area but also the wounded Iraqi soldiers right alongside our own troops. But again that does not come out on the news.
Thank you again for sharing those.
Yours in Christ, George
