Let us pray for the families of Pfc. Kristian Menchaca, 23, of Houston, and Pfc. Thomas L. Tucker, 25, of Madras, Ore. Their bodies were found having been badly tortured. It has been said, that war is hell, and this is one of the hellish costs to our fellow citizens. Though there are varying opinions on war and our position on Iraq, let us never fail to pray for these who regardless to politics are paying the cost. Bro. Ben

I saw the headline this morning. I have to say I'm very upset by this and I'm trying very very hard not to feel hatred towards the people who did it. So I just have to concentrate on praying for these families of the soldiers.

As saddened as I was about the death of these two soldiers, this was the reprecutions for a soldier who sexually assaulted and killed and young Iraqi woman and her family.
Unfortunately the West doesn't have much to offer these people except some political options. A friend of ours just got back from Pakistan building homes for Muslim widows with Christian Aid Ministries. He said the woman there were all modest, and the people treated him like a prince. They all wanted him to come to their house for tea, meals, and to stay with them.
They said please tell the Americans that all Muslims are not Taliban or El Quida (sp?) He said, I will, if you will tell everyone that "real" Christianity is not what you see on the television and in the media.
America shames herself with her defilement and hedonistic ways. These people only see our sin and presume all is American Christianity. This is why your testimony should be very definitive.
The Muslims greatly respect a chaste modest Christian family, and a sister with a head covering.

This was truly a sad fact to read about. We lost a friend of my husband's last year in Iraq, he was a soldier who was drug through the streets after the isurgents murdered him...
I am sad for the losses both sides have experienced. However, I for one do not want terrorism to be here on our American soil, so I am behind the troops and support them for all their efforts.
I have a long time family I am close to that is Muslim, and they are nothing like the terrorists.. Brother Ben I agree with the statements made by the Muslim's your friend was helping.
We do need to keep praying for resolve and for the Lord's will to be done.
God bless, Sister Penny
