Dear ladies, here is a lady with some good advice. We have good water here, not sure what the water is like at the property. here is her advice, My house previous to this had really hard water (I was on a well) - to the point where we couldn't drink it, and couldn't use it to cook with, in the fish bowl, our whites were orange and even though I cleaned the sinks and faucets daily I still had crud in them. BUT, almost too late, I did find one product for the bathroom - bath, toilet sink and kitchen sink. It is called Kaboom., it is a little expensive, but you don't need a lot, it isn't too stinky and it WORKS! You don't even need to scrub. My tiles and grout and tub were always orange, and the first time I used it I had to spray twice, but it all just rinsed off. I also used white vinegar everywhere, it seems to cut the minerals some. There is also a product called iron out, it is in granular form, that you should run through your washing machine every other week or so. I had a big problem with mineral build up in my washer (in the intake, out take and in the drain barrel) until I started using that. CLR works well too if you have a buildup problem, but it is caustic. I use baking soda to clean almost everything or comet cleanser. there really isn't one good answer, I had to do a lot of different things. One thing I used on the dishes was the "camping" dishsoap, it is a paste that you can use in cold water and it rinses clean, that was the only thing that worked in my water.
