Dear Sisters,
I thought I would share a little project I did. I made a toilet tissue holder for a wedding gift for a friend. It holds seven rolls.
You need: One yard of material Four yards of lace Ribbon - two colors Flowers - I use small silk roses 2" metal ring Hot glue gun
Size how wide a roll of toilet tissue is and cut your material one half inch wider. It is exactly one yard long. Cut four pieces of material like this. Sew two pieces face to face long ways and turn inside out. It should be like a big tube. Do the same with the other two. Make sure to sew your lace in when you sew these tubes.
Sew the tubes together at the top and at the bottom. Smooth out flat, and sew a little less than a half inch down from the top to make a place for the two inch ring to slide in. Smooth out flat and size 15 1/2 inches up from the bottom and sew straight across to adjoin the two tubes, this makes two separate sections. Four rolls will fit in the top section and three will fit in the bottom.
Make a bouquet with flowers and a big floppy bow with long strings around the bouquet. Hot glue the bouquets in place approx. 5 1/2 inches from the top and approx. 3 inches down from the middle seam.
You can hang this on your wall or on the back of the bathroom door. This is a nifty little toilet tissue holder. If I can make it anybody can make it. ;D It's really easy.
Enjoy!

What a neat ideal...I think I will have to try something like that...we are always running out of toliet paper in the bathroom and then yelling for someone to bring it to you from the closet....thanks Darlene...Love Sis Debbie

That looks like a really easy project. When I get brave enough, I think I'll try it.

We have made two more. The other two are not as fancy as this one was. I made it for a friends wedding, she is regular Ind.Fund. Baptist and I wanted her to like and use it.
We made one for a plain sister who got married, that one we used a calm calico floral print and we gathered material and made a homemade ruffle instead of lace. That one was my favorite. It only took one yard of material to make we used the leftover material for the ruffle.
We made another one with blue material and a non frilly lace, that one is in my bathroom, like that one too, it is the first one we ever made. Lace is expensive! It's cheaper and nicer, but a little harder to make a homemade ruffle.
Enjoy! There fun to make, and very useful, and pretty to look at.
