First I would like to say this, I don't have any other option than to place my six year old daughter in either public school or private Christian school. I have her in a private "Christian school" and things were going OK I thought. Today she came home and told me that a new teacher there was sharing her multiple piercing with the young children. Of course my little one thought they were pretty The teacher told them the one in her NOSE hurt the worse when she had it done. Then she proceeded to show them her TONGUE piercing and then last but not least she pulled her shirt up and showed them her BELLY BUTTON piercing My daughter was going on how pretty and sparkly the stones and beads were! I pay over $200.00 a month for my daughter to be there so I could avoid as much wordily nonsense as I could and as far as I am concerned she is getting more info on body piercing there than she would in public school. I don't think you are allowed in public school as a teacher to wear tongue piercing. Well to say the least I am outraged!!! I am having to undo programming that my daughter is being subjected to already How sad.....Please pray Blessings Sis Debbie

I went to a private Christian school. I was really fortunate to have gone to one that stood firmly on God’s Word and would not have stood for such things. You should certainly take that up with someone at the school.
Unfortunately for us, our only option is public school. We just can’t afford to send our kids to private school. The “Christian” schools in our area are somewhat dubious at best, and they are so expensive at to be cost prohibitive to all but a select few (the “haves”).
We have been blessed with a really good public elementary school in our area, and the teachers that we have encountered are all Christians. Teacher-wise, we have been fortunate at the junior high where my oldest son goes, but the environment is not that great. My son tells me about the foul language that the other kids use, as well as the behavior and attitudes.
It’s hard for me to relate, because my school experience was the polar opposite of that (albeit I graduated over 20 years ago!).
We'll certainly keep you in our prayers!

I am planning to speak to the director of the school. I did not have school myself to day so I kept my daughter home as well. This particular teacher is not my daughter's primary teacher, She watches the children in the program following my daughter's regular class. She must be new, I don't think I have seen her there before. Please believe me when I tell you I could not afford to send my daughter to this school if it was not because I am in school myself and I use my school loans. I get sick to think this is just the tip of the iceberg with future "UUURRRRGGGG"!!!!!!!!! to deal with. Blessings Sis Debbie

Well I spoke to the director of the school my daughter attends and told her I thought the new teacher's mini session she gave on body piercings was inappropriate. The director completely agreed with me and said she would talk with her about it. I guess she did not get the 'JOY " of seeing the young woman's jewelry wear. I guess this is the beginning of many battles I will have to face. I pray that I can keep my eye focused on my Lord through it all. Blessings Sis Debbie
