A great switch from normal breakfast foods.
1/4 cup raisins 1/2 cup diced apple 1/2 cup diced peaches (optional, when in season) 1/2 cup diced banana 1/4 cup pitted chopped dates 2 T. raw sunflower seeds 2 T. sesame seeds wheat germ milk or milk alternative
Mix in medium bowl. Sprinkle wheat germ on top. Add a little milk to moisten, or yogurt Let sit a few minutes before serving. Serves 1 adult.

You could add some dry uncooked oatmeal ( just a little)

Mmmm, that sounds good! You could also add sprouted or soaked oat groats. Our daily breakfast gives us TONS of energy (it's a green smoothie): Enough bananas to fill up my vitamix 3/4 the way, about 2c of water. Blend, stop. Add several LARGE handfuls of raw spinach. Blend (add more spinach if it will fit; add more water if needed). We make two blender-fulls and each have about 4c of this every morning. Sometimes we'll have another one during the day with celery or romaine instead of spinach. Sometimes we'll add other fruits along with the bananas - grapes, mangoes, strawberries, peaches. Fresh ground flax seed can be added too, but only a few TBS. since it's a fat (I do not like to combine fats with fruits). It may sound nasty, but really it's good. The spinach gives a great energy boost and it's packed with tons of vitamins and minerals. If you've never had a green smoothie, start with more fruit and less green at first. Gradually increase the greens every day.

This sounds absolutely great! All I have is a blender on my bosh ( it's kind of small) and a Champion Juicer. A Vita Mix sounds great!
