WHOLE WHEAT PIZZA DOUGH Prep time: 5 minutes Start to finish: 15 minutes To make ahead: The dough will keep, in a plastic bag coated with cooking spray, in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Degree of difficulty: moderate
Ingredients 1 3/4 cup whole-wheat flour 1 package quick-rising yeast, such as Fleischmann's RapidRise 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon sugar 1/2-2/3 cup hot water (120-130°F) 2 teaspoons olive oil To make: 1. Combine whole-wheat flour, yeast, salt and sugar in a food processor; pulse to mix. Combine hot water and oil in a measuring cup. With the motor running, gradually pour in enough of the hot liquid until the mixture forms a sticky ball. The dough should be quite soft. If it seems dry, add 1 to 2 tablespoons warm water; if too sticky, add 1 to 2 tablespoons flour. Process until the dough forms a ball, then process for 1 minute to knead. 2. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. Spray a sheet of plastic wrap with cooking spray and place it, sprayed-side down, over the dough. Let the dough rest for 10 to 20 minutes before rolling.

Glenda,
You have posted several recipes for whole wheat. Do you have a recipe for noodles using whole wheat?

On a lightly floured surface roll dough until thin, to about a 18x20 inches. Let dry about 1 1/2 hours. Cut into 1/2 inch strips with a pizza cutter. Sore in a container that is not airtight...

Thank you SO MUCH. Tonight I did try using FRESH GROUND WHEAT instead of stuff I had purchased already ground and used it in my white noodle recipe and worked much better. I am going to print off the recipe you just gave and put it in my box of recipes.
Have a great evening!

i am glad that I could help..
We have been changeing our diets to nothing but whole wheat.. it is really doing us good... I know that it seems that our five children do not want to eat as much... I mean for us now one sandwich is enough for them.. That is a big deal.. They can eat at least two or three sandwiches of homemade white bread...

Wonderful. I tried subbing my whole wheat for white flour in my noodles and they simple seemed to be missing something, turned a bit heavy I thought. I am beginning to think it is a trick of they eyes and taste buds by satan just to keep us from living out what we feel we should.
Thank you for sharing! I have a pasta roller and a few wheels for it so I would LOVE to find good whole wheat recipes to do away with store-bought so-called "wheat" pastas!
