my husband loves this recipe. it really does come out crunchy like fried chicken. again I use country herbs I buy at Aldi's. I add garlic too but no one knows that. hehe.

We had taco salad from Taco Bell tonight (with extra guacamole). We only eat out about once a week with maybe a drive through sandwich if we're working and on the road at mealtime during the week.
Taco Salad is a good and filling meal for summer. Just cook up some rice (I like brown but some people only like white), tear up some lettuce (green leaf and iceberg), chop up some onions, tomatoes, green peppers, grate some cheddar or Mexican cheese mix, put out a small bowl of sour cream, broken up tortilla chips, chop some avocado, heat a pot of chili with plenty of pinto beans in it and less meat, line all that up on the table and let everyone assemble their own taco salad. Brew a big pitcher of tea and put out a bowl of sugar and let everyone sweeten (or not) their own tea before putting ice in it.
This is a filling meal, but just right winter or summer.
It calls for a cold or cool dessert, like sherbet maybe.

This sounds wonderful, Sis. Nancy. I'm going to give it a try! I'll add it to my list of recipes I have from here.
