Glenda,
Are you taking anything for this pain? If you are feeling the need for rest and sleep, then it's rest and sleep that your body is crying out for.
I will pray for you, am praying for you as I'm sure everyone on this forum is doing. You will be okay. I know it is trite to say, "my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus", but it is true.
It is no shame to ask for help from the government if you need it, food stamps, medical care, whatever is offered. (We have all, many of us for a lifetime, been paying into the government coffers in the form of taxes and not collecting a dime for it, in part so that the deserving person, women and children can be helped when they need it). If it were not God's will that this, the greatest country in the world, offers programs designed for women and children, then it would not be available. It does not have to be permanent or a way of life, but you need some help to relieve the stress if nothing else. I do not believe it is God's will for you to be so stressed out and stretched beyond your limit. I know there are those who completely reject government help, but you do not have to teach your children to worship the government and do not have to become a welfare queen just because you are having this problem. You need some help, and I'm sure there are those here who will help you out as they are able, but that is no permanent solution to your present. situation.
Your husband does have a RESPONSIBILITY under God to provide for the children he helped bring into the world, and the authorities are put in place by God to deal with the evildoers and make them do what they refuse to do willingly. Why should he just skate while you and your children suffer? Surely he is making something, and it hardly seems right for him to blow all of it on his own lusts. Of course, you know your own mind and situation, but sometimes the time comes to turn to those who have the authority to help us. The authorities were set in place by the will of God and are no threat to the law-abiding citizen.
You probably need a medical checkup, which the Dept. of Human Services might be able to help you with or at least steer you to where you need to go locally to get some help. There may be doctors and others who do some free gratis work as their personal community service. People in the community also contribute to the local food pantries hoping someone like you will take advantage of it instead of some of the career opportunists that are present in every community and have not worked for generations in their families (shiftless for generations). That's not you!
Just rest now, and give your body what it needs - sleep and rest evidently right now.
Love, Sister Wanda

Glenda,
Be sure to drink plenty of water and liquids so you don't get dehydrated. Throwing up is the body's way of getting rid of toxins, but having liquids keeps the body hydrated as you lose a lot of fluid when vomiting.

Dear Sister Glenda, I hope you get feeling better very soon. I keep praying for strength for you to carry on. I fear your level of stress may keep your body from overcoming illness as quickly as it should. Please follow Sister Wanda's advice and go to your local Food Bank for some nourishing food for you and your family, as well -- as soon as you feel better, that is. (You shouldn't take those possibly contagious illnesses, like influenza, out to share with anyone!) The Food Bank people are friendly neighborhood volunteers who have been sorting all kinds of food that gets donated by restaurants and collected by Boy Scouts to help those in need. Sister Brenda

Sister Glenda first of all I want you to know that my prayers have been with you since the start of this challenge. Secondly it sounds to me as if you may have eaten something that was not quite right. If I recall correctly the aches and pains accompanied by the vomiting are signs of food poisoning.
Since this has been going on for days now I urge you to seek medical attention if for no other reason than to rule out anything more serious. I realize that you cannot afford a doctor right now yet medical people cannot refuse you treatment based solely on your inability to pay. This is especially true of a hospital emergency room.
One suggestion I have for you is to consume ginger. If you have any powdered ginger you can mix it with water. If you have crystallized ginger eat it like candy. If you have or can get some ginger ale such as Canada Dry it also works. Ginger really helps to calm a nauseated stomach and intestinal system. It is actually one of the best things you can use for motion sickness also.
I pray you get to feeling better and get your strength back soon.

I posted this on my blog site and I wanted to post it here also to see what you all thought.. Please let me know what you all think??? I was laying well ok not really laying in my bed more like sitting with my knees up to my chest because my tummy was hurting. I had just got finished throwing up again. And something hit me.. Is it possible that HEAT could be doing all this to me???
Our home right now is running at about 80 degrees..That and with the fact that my system is just so run down is it possible that this is what is causing me to be sick.. I noticed today when i was at a friends house that I was still hurting in my joints and all but that could just be my arthritus and my tummy hurt but remember i have not been able to eat in three days.. When i do eat it comes right back up.. When we got home today from our friends house she had ordered pizza and the kids pigged out on it as soon as they walked thrue the door.. I got sick over that.. just the smell of cold pizza. But when you dont eat for a while your body can do that... Is it possible that i am just dealing with the heat.. when i was in her house i felt a little better.. I still had a headache and all but I did feel better.. I had more engery..
Something that hit me today was when i got home I was in the house and cooking dinner and the house was getting hot. the oven was on.. anyway I ended up having to run to the bathroom. Up until now i just thought it was some kind of illness but now i am thinking it might be something else..
so what do you all think?? is it possible that it could be the heat?? what are the signs of heat??
Any help on this will be appricated thanks all and god bless glenda

Glenda,
Have you had your blood pressure checked lately? When I get overheated, my blood pressure spikes way up and I have to get out of clothes and bathe with cool cloths behind my neck, on my back, feet, and anyplace else that seems to be holding in a lot of heat. I have to remove anything I'm wearing on my head, as a lot of heat is held in the body by a hat (or solid head covering of any kind). I also have to immediately start drinking cold water until I get the core of my body cooled off. We live in the South, and this heat down here gets brutal in the summer, sometimes starting in the late spring with heat waves.
If you have to go to a doctor or to the ER, they cannot turn you away. At least, that's what they tell us at any rate and I would hope they aren't just saying that for public relations.
I'm not a doctor and anything I say anyone can take with a grain of salt; but what I would do if I had dysentery, vomiting and felt like I had gotten hold of some bad food - I would go to the drug store and get a bottle of plain old cheap charcoal capsules. (Walmart has a product called "Charcocaps", but it is not really charcoal capsules so don't fall for that and don't use charcoal briquet like goes in the grill, those have chemicals in them that are hazardous to the system.) Charcoal is an old remedy that soaks up many times its weight in toxins in the gut.
Another possibility to take is Pepto Bismol or the other pink liquid stuff that is for diarrhea, vomiting and such as that. The generics are the same as the brand name stuff. - If you're dehydrated from the diarrhea and vomiting, some Gatorade would be a good idea. They make it in the powder mix now.
Another measure is just plain old good quality yogurt, like Dannon, that has the good acidophilus culture in it. Stonyfield organic yogurt is the best, but is a little higher than Dannon. You have some bad bugs in your gut right now that have outnumbered the good bugs, it sounds like.
Ideally, seeing a physician might be advisable, but you have indicated that is not a possibility. I know how you feel; it's such a financial drain, and I find it very annoying when their nurses act like a hundred dollars is just nothing. To them, maybe, but not to most of us.
Wanda

Sister, I am praying for you. I really wish I knew how to help, but I know One who does! I do know that washing your wrists in cold water helps make your whole body feel cooler. I've sometimes stuck them in a bowl of water with some ice cubes, but I'm not sure if that would aggravate arthritis. Something perhaps to think about, though. I really pray you feel better! Love in Christ, Sarah

Sister Glenda, first of all let me make the required disclaimer. I am not a physician. I have no medical degrees or real knowledge. I cannot give you medical advice but can share with you what I have found.
It is possible you may be suffering from some sort of heat-related illness. If so it is most likely heat exhaustion from what I have been able to find. One of the things you must be most aware of and treat immediately and constantly is the possibility of dehydration. The suggestion was made concerning GatorAde or something similar to that. It is a good suggestion.
If you do a Google search on heat exhaustion or heat prostration you can find a wealth of information on it. It is primary that you get as much rest as you can.
In Christ, George
