Dear Board Brethren,
We learned the other night a sister we used to church with has passed on. She had just had a new baby only days ago, and the baby was hospitalized for some complication. Sister Wilma was not feeling well either. They went to the hospital to see the baby and checked her in because she was not doing well. She went into a comma because (I think) for an anurism. She was on life support and the hospital told her family she was gone and only staying animated by life support. They unplugged the support and she ceased soon after. The funeral is tomorrow up in Kentucky, please keep the Schlabach ( shlay-bok ) family in your prayers.
Ben and Darlene
P.S. I may be off on some of the facts, but that is what happened in a nutshell.

Greetings Brothers and Sisters,
I was at the funeral of my dear sister, Wilma Schlabach yesterday. I have never in my life been to a funeral like this before....never. It was a revival and salvation message all wrapped up together. Wilma was a precious sister who loved her Lord, her husband, and her dear children. Brother Richard (her husband) shared how the love that Wilma had poured out onto him and their children was really a channel of God's love. He is walking in God's grace now...To see him and the children doing so well just encourages us all. They will have difficult times, but knowing where their sweet wife/mother is brings such a comfort and rest. Wilma was a precious sister. She always had a smile on her face. She was an encourager. Her husband shared that through their most difficult times, Wilma gave her full support and only words of encouragement. This gave him the strength that he needed to become the man that God wanted him to be. Brother Richard spoke with a boldness and an assurance like I had never heard him speak before. Others had said this as well. I do believe that the funeral was exactly the way Wilma would have wanted. As a matter of fact, the brother who spoke the message, (Brother Phillip Rudolph) said that if he had to give a name to the message, it would be something like, "The sermon that Wilma preached!" He shared her sweet testimony and how she was so excited about what the Lord had done and was continuing to do in her life. She loved to share about her Lord and Savior.
Please pray for Richard Schlabach and their six sweet children....that they would all continue to experience God's love through this difficult time. And knowing that it is truly a celebration.....that our sweet sister Wilma, is with her sweet Savior, the Lord Jesus.
Evangeline had a lung infection right away after birth. She is still in the ICU at the local hospital. She is doing better now, but must stay for about 5 more days. Please pray for her complete recovery.
Wilma died only 2 days after giving birth to baby Evangeline. The family did NOT have insurance. There are thousands of dollars to be paid. They had just enough to get by before Wilma passed away. If the Lord leads any of you to give...you can send something to this address. Even if you have no money to give, a card to Brother Richard and the family would be a great encouragement at this time. Their oldest child is 11 and their youngest is 6 days old now. Here is their address to send a word of encouragement:
Richard Schlabach 3522 Penchem Rd Trenton, KY 42286

Greetings,
This truly a sad situation in our human eyes, but we must remember to for what ever reasons that we may never know God Allowed Sister Wilma to be called home early. We personally her brother and sister who are members of our church, Also know her mother and father.
It is our understanding from what was shared in church Sunday was that she had a type of strep virus that is very fast acting. Normally there is a test that can be given before the birth of the child and if positive a shot is given, but it is a test that midwives don't give only the hospital. We have another lady in the church that loss a baby due to it and now has to have her babies in the hospital because she is a carrier for the type of virus.
We do all need to hold the entire family up in pray during this time of loss. Even when we know that a loved one is with the Lord it never easy losing a loved one.
She was a member of a Charity Church and Brother Phillip the minister is a good man, have meet him before.
May God's will be done in each of our lives, and may He give us the grace to accept it.
Brother Randy

Praying for her family and friends during this time of mourning. What a loss! And yet, we know the Lord is working it all out for the good of all.
