Please keep our dear friend, David, in your prayers. He is a commited Christian, evangelist, and soul winner. His doctor diagnosed him with cancer late last year and David under went Chemo. We did not have a good feeling about the treatment, but most will automatically take the council of doctors and let them start conventional treatment, i.e., meds, surgery, chemo, etc.
They can't tell if the cancer is gone, but they have destroyed his saliva glands and he has a hard time talking, eating, and such. I received report today that his face has swollen up and his family had to take him to the ER and they don't know what it is or what to do. They immediately sent him to the Ear/Nose/Throat doctor, who had originally diagnosed him.
The doctor is very concerned with the fact that his swelling is increasing and that it is now spreading down his neck. Currently he is at Vanderbilt in the examination room of his doctor, but we just received word that he is going to be admitted at least for over night so they can watch him continually.
He is on morphine for pain. Needless to say, the enemy has successfully sidetracked this good man from public speaking. Please pray for David, he is one of the few "holy" men that Darlene and I know.

Praying for Brother David. How frightening & frustrating! I pray that he will be able to recover from the cancer AND from the treatment.

Update on Bro. David:
Vanderbilt was able to find an antibiotic that his body would respond to, so the swelling went down a lot. They took another Cat-scan and it showed up completely clear. They do not see anything that would cause this infection, such as a tumor, stones, mucas buildup...ect.
That is good news! At least there is nothing behind the infection that has to be delt with. We are standing on the faith that this is the first signs of his saliva glands coming back!
The swelling is now almost completely down, and David's face is a little tender, but the pain is under control. He is beginning to get a bowl of soup, yogurt or pudding down each day! He is home from the hospital.
Thank you for praying for this dear friend. Please continue to lift him up, I'll keep you updated.

Praise he Lord for the Great news, we have been lifting our dear brother and precious friend up in much fervent prayer...praying believing! Often I wake up in pain in the middle of the night and pray for David, he is a man of God ''anointed'', and a precious brother who has compassionately prayed over Bro Ben and I many times. He is a friend and a christian that we feel confident about calling when we need prayer or physical healing. We've seen the Lord answer prayer in a big way many times, it would grieve us to part this earthly life with our friend David.
It is our desire that the Lord heal this dear brother. We pray the Lord will use his suffering for Gods glory that others might be drawn very close to God. I know in my own life the Lord has used his suffering to speak to me and work in my life.
