Hi there! My name is Samantha. I am married to a wonderful man named Dan. We have 3 beautiful children, Emily(almost 7), John-David(2), and Alexander(5 months). We live in Toledo and could almost throw a baseball to Michigan I am a homeschooling mama trying her best. We are a skirt wearing conservative family. I am convicted head coverer who just got the green light from her husband that its ok So I will definetly be checking around for ideas and help! Please forgive me if I ask a lot of strange questions or talk to much. Like I told brother Ben in my application I've never actually "met" anyone like us and I am starved for fellowship. My family thinks were "those people" and our church is not a lot better. We live in the city unfortunetly and on a VERY busy road to boot. my children can not even play in the front yard. However we are blessed to have a home at all and that my husband has a job. So many around here do not. Anyway, i REALLY REALLY like to knit. A LOT. Just ask my husband lol. It is a true gift from God, not my skill but the peace it gives me, and I do it all the time.... I also like to cook and crochet and sew and read. Anyway enough rambling from me ! lol Thanks for having me can't wait to meet y'all!!

Welcome Sister Samantha, I am Sister Penny, wife to Brother Jeffrey, Mom to a blended family of 5 and praying for 2 adopted grandchildren in hopes we can adopt them soon.
We live in NW coastal Michigan on 5 plus acres of woodsy out in the sticks land :-)
I love to make soap, candles, sew, raise herbs, learn old fashioned crafts, and I will admit I would LOVE to learn how to crochet....my friend who will be teaching me just returned from a long trip...I hope to make crocheted rugs as well as my braided ones.
We live simply and are both born again Christians and use only the King James Version Bible.
We hope to eventually get off grid, since we have all of this oak on our property we have a lot of free heat, just need some more chain saws and more helpers :-)
Again..welcome and enjoy this great group of Godly believers.
Sister Penny

Welcome to our humble site Sister Samantha. I believe you will find answers to a lot of your questions here. We have a wonderful group of Sisters who are more than willing to provide assistance in a lot of areas. We are also blessed with Brother Ben who is in effect the Pastor here. I try to contribute what I can in however small of a way I can.
You may want to go back in and read some of the threads if you have not already. There is a wealth of information in them. If you have a difficulty in a particular area of life you may want to look in Restoration Place to see if I have written on the subject. I am not trying to honk my own horn but there is a lot of things posted in that area which can be very helpful in matters of the Christian life.
By the way, while I am on the subject and I know a lot of others in addition to our new Sister will read this, if there is a subject someone would like me to research and write on please let me know. I love a good Bible challenge!
In Christ, George
