I go to church at the Church at Beaver Creek, and while looking up their website saw a posting talking about our little home church on your board and when I realized what a wealth of Christian love seems to dwell here, wanted to get involved. I am also from a varied church background and really do identify with the sad fact of the modern church that has drifted so far from conservative Bible believing churches that lift up Jesus as Lord. I have learned sooo much in the year that I have been in this independent Baptist church. My husband is not saved (yet) but the Holy Spirit is sure working on him and everyone at church is praying for him and it is a real encouragement for me. We live on a farm in rural Clatskanie and raise Connemara ponies and sporthorses, have a young vineyard and orchard , small (very) rose and tree nursery and expanding garden. Looking forward to where the Lord leads us and helping.

Welcome to our little corner of the world. You will find some really loving, caring, God-honoring people here. The sharing of ideas, things practical and the Word of God may be unparalleled on-line.
I shall also add him to my prayers. Let us pray that he is saved before it is too late. We can never tell when it is going to be "our time."
In Christ, George

Welcome Sister!!
I am new here myself but have been blessed by this site. I will be praying for your husbands salvation. Do not be discouraged if he does not get saved right away. My Mom prayed for my Dad 10 years before he got saved. Everyone told her he was hopeless. Praise God today my dad is a born again believer that loves the Lord with all his heart. I have a dad that I honestly seek his opinion above any one else's because I know he will give me Godly counsel. My dad truly has a heart to serve the Lord. All praise goes to God what he has done for my family he will do for yours. Lisa

Thank you all for your kindness. I am sorry that I didn't post my name, it is Wendi and my husband's name is Mark. People at church keep encouraging me to be patient and with God's help, and only with it, I can be. I know in His good time Mark will come around, so much has happened already. My dad was really messed up when we were kids and made fun of us "Jesus Freaks", his kids, when we were young but now is finally saved and it is so great to see the changes God has made in his life. He recently had a experience with esophageal cancer and after being treated with chemo and radiation for a few weeks, the chemo totally burned his mucous membranes, tongue, inside of mouth and everything and he was in grave condition and I was back there for 3 weeks with him and his dear wife and in that time was able to watch him get closer with the Lord and come out of his comfort zone and communicate with God in ways he never has. He never used to pray out loud or lead prayer with his wife. His cancer was gone once they were able to retest him several times and then once home he started not spending time with the Lord again and he developed a bad infection in his colon that put him back in the hospital for another 2 months and he spent that time realizing his error and now out is continuing to truly follow hard after God. I am looking forward to sharing and learning here. I have already been so blessed reading some of the things people have posted. Praise the Lord for He is so Good!!!

Wendy,
I am so glad the Lord has sent you our way. Be patient with Mark, the Lord will work on his heart and draw Him to the Saviour, just be the sweetest, and most loving, patient wife you can be (love your man...), but be real not holier than thou, you know what I mean. I'm sure the Lord will guide him, he drew you didn't He? Be encouraged. We will be praying!Act 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Love, ~ sister Darlene ~
