Brethren, Please don't forget to pray for those who have been harmed and for the families of those who have lost their homes and loved ones in this recent bout of tornadoes in the southern Midwest.
I just heard today that one hit Murfreesboro Tennessee...I pray our beloved Brother Ben and Sister Darlene and their children are safe.
God bless, Sister Penny

"I just heard today that one hit Murfreesboro Tennessee...I pray our beloved Brother Ben and Sister Darlene and their children are safe."
Amen to that! Brother Ben or Sister Darlene can you give us a heads up on how you are? I know that since the tornadoes hit fairly close to you, you are most likely helping in the relief effort in some way. I pray you are all well.
In Christ, George

Late last night Bro Ben posted this on another thread, but it got burried and no one knew he posted, so I gave his post below...Also here is a post I made this morning! What an exciting day we had! coveredbaptists.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=general&thread=2261&page=1Re: Where in the world is Sis. Darlene?? « Reply #8 Yesterday at 10:29pm » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Funny you ask. This morning, I asked Darlene if she would like to go see our chiropractor, who is in the town next to Murfreesboro where the tornadoes were. She told me she would like to if he will see us. I called him and he said he could see us in the afternoon, so we thought we'd go over early and do some shopping at stores we don't have in our town as we waited for him to become available. We hadn't been in town an hour and we saw a suspicious cloud formation and were commenting on it when Darlene said, "That's a tornado!" I had turned a corner and she said look in your rear view mirror. I looked and sure enough, it was a tornado. I pulled over and she took my camera phone and snapped two pictures and made a movie as we watched it pass across the North side of town, just a few miles from us. We were fine, but the emergency vehicles were all over town. Three different parts of town were heavily hit by the tornado (there were several in the area.) Homes were gone, taken, it is so sad. The Governor and one of the Senators who is from Murfreesboro has written and called the President and asked for disaster relief. On the local talk radio, some of the callers stated that this was the worst tornado they've seen in the area. We were in town all day and there were startled people everywhere we were able to hand tracts out and minister to them. It was a God-ordained appointment. The chiropractor worked on Darlene's back which has been giving her trouble ever since she hurt it this last summer (when we were almost hit by some wreckless teens in town.) She literally heard a crack in her neck when we slammed on the brakes to miss hitting these boys. We really like our chiropractor, he is a gifted practitioner. Thank you for praying for my wife, she will get on next week and explain what's been happening with her other health issues. Bro. Ben ................................................................................................................................................................................................................ Here is my post from this morning. What a day yesterday was...Tornado adventures, and disaster all around us!.....Ben said later that day, when I take you out on a date, I really show you a good time...excitment and adventure. ;D2 confirmed dead, 41 patients treated after tornado in The Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro Tn. This photo shows what is left of the home of Kori Bryant and her 9-week-old daughter, Olivia Bryant, at the corner of Sulpher Springs Road and Haynes Drive Friday, April 10, 2009. Both were killed in Friday's tornadoes.Ben and I were 5 min away from where this happened , tornadoes were spotted all around us. God kept us safe and soun...and we were in the right place at the right time and were able to minister.www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/section?template=zoom&Site=DN&Date=20090410&Category=NEWS01&ArtNo=90410005&Ref=AR&Profile=1006Look at this picture! Thats what we saw...we filmed it on Ben's camera phone, We literally watched it form and come down. Here is a News Video.. www.newschannel5.com/global/video/flash/popupplayer.asp?ClipID1=3640907&h1=Time%20Lapse%20Video%20On%20Tornado%20Moving%20Through%20Murfreesboro&vt1=v&at1=Weather&d1=114200&LaunchPageAdTag=News&activePane=info&rnd=78421228We were located in between this building ( the Court house ) and the tornado! We were very close, but it came down in front of us and went North...Thank the Good Lord. Here is another good shot of the devastation!Interesting facts we heard...one lady said it hit her office building it took the roof off and damaged the building badly, but strangely right inside the front door was and easel with information written on a board and it was not even moved out of it's place...another person told us that one house was totally missing, but the fire place was in tact and the small pictures on the mantel were not even moved out of place. Wow! Tornadoes do strange unexplainable things. At one time... right after we saw the tornado form and come down and start moving...( SCARY ) Bro Ben said we need to go South because that is away from the path of the tornado, so South we went ...all the emergency and rescue vehicles were flying past us with sirens blaring going North....
While going South we noticed the wind was strong, and it was raining, and the entire sky was ( pea green ) all around us. I started having a really bad feeling...really foreboding, I started crying, Ben told me it was ok, try to be calm, I was softly weeping, but I sure did not feel calm inside. I had an idea to go to the three story parking garage at the police office, so we did...when we got there, it was like we were at the fair or something, people were everywhere, they had the same idea for safety and shelter.
When we were in the garage we heard on the radio that ''Gum road'', and the ''Murry Kittrell'' area ( That is where we were headed..to our old farm where our oldest son still lives ) My boy was in Gatlinburg for the week end ( praise the Lord ), but we just wanted to make sure the house and neighbors were ok. Well we are glad the Lord stopped us from going, his road did not get hit as far as we know, but the road next to his was blocked off by the police meaning it did get hit, I'm not for sure if his place is ok or not.
We did go to the '' Murry Kittrel'' area to visit my little old lady friend ( I dearly love her ) she is 86 and her name is Lucy, she has a Jersey cow and use to supply us with tons of fresh milk , we named our milk cow after her. She liked that!
She was fine, the storm caused no harm at her place. Praise the Lord! We do not know about the rest of the Murry Kittrell area though we did not drive around, I had to get to the chiropractor in the next town.
My chiropractor was in Nashville and he could hardly make it home to see me, because I 24 was all but shut down, wrecks every where, turned over semi's, it was a mess. He made it back to his home town, and open his office, and worked on my poor back... I am so thankful he did, this is the first morning in months that I woke up without spine pain
I already have Scoliosis and that just makes things worse on my back, he really knows what to do with my back, I am so thankful for him, he is around 50 years old, and he should be around for quite a while... God willing, he'll be my doctor for the rest of my life. Bro Ben and I really like him, and trust him. We have had bad chiropractors in the past and we are so thankful for a good one. Before we went to Lucy's and the chiropractors Bro Ben took me out to eat at the Chinese restaurant... yummy! We have a really good one in Murfreesboro...'' Daily Buffet '' Well we were there dinning and we situated ourselves buy the TV ( we normally situate ourselves away from the TV. The News was on solid the whole time...no commercials ...great coverage of the tornado's and the damage, it was extensive...people were standing around in the restaurant talking about what they knew or listening to the exciting tales of the others who had seen first hand....The sky outside was swirling and low and different colors black, green, white, grey...Wow! Scary! I hardly wanted to eat...but it was after 1:30 and I was starving...so I ate.
While we were at Murfreesboro almost being taking away by the tornadoes ...Columbia Tn 1 hour and 10 min away (where we now reside, and where our children were at home,) there was a storm there too, ( the same system that was crossing Middle Tn )... They said the sky got pitch black at 12:45 PM ( lunch time ) our house is full of windows which do not have blinds or curtians...our house is always so lit up by natural light we do not have to turn on the lights until night time....my oldest daughter said it got so dark that the children were just shadows you could not really see details, then penny size hail came down, they were scared the windows would break! She saved some hail in the freezer for me. The storm passed quickly here in Columbia Tn even the sun shine came out. There was some storm damage in the town next to Columbia Tn.
Our neighbor across the street had wind damage from the night before this bad storm hit.Well that is the Tornado scoop and an overview of our exciting...Good Friday! Love, ~ sister Darlene ~Here is another article I found...
I sure hope the young woman who lost her life was saved, (born again.)*******www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5jW-BndswWuhgPAPXOK4Q6TCQsANQD97GD03O2*******

Oh MY! Bro. Ben, you sure do know how to take your wife out for some excitement!! I am so glad that you are okay, and the Lord protected your children, and that Darlene got her back worked on, and you were able to witness to some people who might have had death on their minds right then... God sure worked all that out. ...Prayers for the families of those killed or injured...

I just added an article at the end of my last post, That is exactly what it looked like. It was scary.
We just had... to go to Murfreesboro on Friday! ;D Good Friday to be exact! ;D
All kidding aside, I am so glad we did go, Gods awesome hand of protection was upon us, and we were able to minister for him, and I got my back worked on. The Lord knows how to guide our path.
We might have changed our plans if we (knew) wicked storms packing big bad tornadoes were going to rip across Middle Tn (this is where we live, and where we went for the day as well, Columbia and Murfreesboro are across from each other on the map, just 1 hour and 10 min away...the same system hit us both. ) The Lord miraculously protected us and my children which were at home.
