The Burrells are such a great family! I have visited their site for over a year now, they have so many great tips all through the site. Lots of tips on cooking, homekeeping, farmsteading, you name it...it's there. I've never met them of course, but they seem like wonderful folks, and I sure appreciate them taking the time to share their lives.

They also have weekends in which they teach those skills too. Here is a link to their next one. pgburrell.home.mindspring.com/id34.html
Beekeeping, sewing, gardening, livestock dogs, spinning/weaving, candlemaking, homestead pantry, blacksmithing, different kinds of soaps and wood working, off-the-grid technology, preserving foods, the list goes on! At only $125 per person which includes all the meals and they welcome little children too, that is one great bargain!
It would be nice to be able to go, so many wonderful skills they are offering for learning. Sadly we would not be able to go because we are attending the Brethren Bible Institute in PA that week.www.--- link temp. held for board approval---/?page_id=11 Maybe we can go to their next one! They have these weekends several times a year from what I can tell. The Burrells are so much cheaper than the so-called folk arts schools that charge $400 and up for just one weekend class per person.
