Here is an e mail my dad's sister sent him not too long ago. I want to ask you all to pray for her she professes to have gotten saved at the age of ten but never lived the life of a christian and has only since she got cancer five years ago has she even started to attend church. it is a baptist church and is very liberal. Needless to say we are afriad that maybe she is not truly saved. I know we cannot judge only God knows her heart. Her son who is searching told my dad he did not want her religion because it is phony. Please pray for her. here is the e mail she sent.
okay - the news is not good so here goes. The cancer is back and the prognosis is grim. It came back with a vengeance, is in the bones and liver. Plan of action is radiation to treat the worse parts of the bone (spine, hip, sternum), then chemo to... get the rest. If the treatment works we're looking at a few years. If the treatment does not work, we're looking at a few months. The immediate family knows.
We are praying for strength from God to help us through. Spending a few more days in TX, then back to GA, quick trip to MS then the treatment begins. What we do not want is the "woe is me" attitude. Everyone who knows me knows I'm a... firm believer in the power of positive thinking. I know the outcome cannot be changed - but with faith and God's help we can get through this. Love you all! Thanks for your prayers.
