Tennessee Storms Round Two: Look at this These pictures were taken at approx. 4:15 P.M. yesterday as the estimated 12 tornados were ripping across Middle Tennessee. Darlene had the children taking refuge under their bunk beds because of the ominous clouds gathering outside. A friend called to warn her of the tornado warning issued by the National Weather Service only to find it is the road the T's into ours. Darlene looked out front and grabbed her camera. This is what she saw (and of course a photo can't compare with the awesomeness of the actual sight.) This is directly over our neighbors house across the street approx. 1000 feet away. We are not sure but this could be the tornado that took three lives in Warren County, Tennessee several minutes later. P.S. It did not hit our neighbors house or anywhere directly near us.

Praise God you are all okay. I saw a little film of the damage on the Weather Channel just a bit ago. It looks terrible. I shall be praying for all of you back there.
In Christ, George

Praise God you all are okay. I actually tried to call your house on Saturday morning around 9:30 Pacific time but there was no answer. I wanted to check on you all. Anyway, that tornado is scary looking. To me they look almost alive! We almost had a tornado earlier this week. Doppler radar had picked up weak rotation in some severe thunderstorms that were headed towards some cities in Ventura county. I don't think the tornado actually formed and touched down but that is still scary to think, that a tornado could hit in California.

I'm so thankful you all are ok. I showed these pics to my kids and there were just in awe of them. We are going to be studying weather in a couple of weeks and they are looking forward to it now since seeing these pics.

That was some kind of storm! And I can hardly believe I got such a good picture.
My grandmother Betty asked if I was scared, and I said it was across the street going the other direction, away from me. She said that tornado's are unpredictable. I never thought for a min it would turn around and come my way! God is good and I am safe so is my family, I am so thankful for His watch care over us and over our neighbors too.
We do live in a beautiful area. We love it here. Our new property is very hilly, there is hardly any flat land there.
We went to check on the property after the storm there were tornado's spotted there too. Everything was ok, no damage. A few miles down our road there was a single wide trailer tipped over on it's side. Tornado's are bad news!
We have experienced more tornado's and of the severe type since we moved here. We must be in a tornado alley region. Middle Tn. If not I am shocked. We have had three major tornado's in our town alone since we moved here in 1996. A real bad one in 1997, a real bad one in 2002, and another real bad one in 2006. All of these tornado's have taken a whole street of houses, all three storms spawned other tornado's that also did damage. We cannot stop these type of storms and really one cannot run or hide good enough to escape it wrath and fury. All one can do is get a hold of God through prayer and trust that He will protect or help you cope with the outcome. Isn't that what the christian walk is all about....Putting our trust/faith in God, knowing whatever happens is Gods will and that He is powerful enough to get us through whatever He allows.
Love, ~ sister Darlene ~
