Hi I was hoping to get some opinions on working at home. Those who have done it. What has worked for you? I am a homeschooling mom, my daughter is 15 and I would really like to do something together. In the last couple of months I joined with a couple direct sales companies but I am not sure that is for me. I am with one now that sells rubber stamps, I got with them to really make and sell my own cards, stationary and other rubber stamp items, but to be honest I have no idea where or how to start. We also crochet and sew a little. I'm not sure what to do. We want to do something that would glorify God and be good for a Christian family. Just looking for some advice from others who are working from home and what they are doing and how they got started. Thanks so much in advance. Jana

I tried selling gourmet coffee with a direct sales company but I didn't do so :-/well. I was my best customer! Right now I'm attempting to sell used curriculum. I just get any curriculum that people don't want to try and sell and was going to donate to a thrift store and then I sell it. My friend gave me several books that she accumulated over the years. I've only been doing this since the end of June and I've only sold three books. Maybe things will pick up soon. Anyway, that's my experince with work at home.

My experience with working at home wasn't good. I took and finished medical transcription courses. When I tried working from home, I was spending way too much time on the computer trying to get the transcriptions finished and my house and family was suffering terribly. The Lord showed me that I needed to do what HE called me to do (taking care of my family and home) and HE would take care of us (I was trying to make extra money to help pay some things off, but everyone and everything was suffering because of it). This is just my experience of course, and it wasn't a good one..
