That is well Sister for God has finished the Revelation. God has provided us with everything He thinks we need to know to get us through this earthly phase of our lives. The three parts of the Holy Trinity each provide a portion of our understanding of things. God provides the revelation. Jesus Christ provides the inspiration and the Holy Spirit provides the illumination.
This is speaking specifically to things which are considered "natural." However I also believe it refers to spiritual things since it does say "nothing."
In Christ, George

Now that I have some time, I wanted to post some more things on 2012, the Mayans, ancient cultures, and unfolding plan of God.
I have done some research regarding 2012 and their needs to be some separation between what the Mayans did and what modern prognosticators have added to it. The Mayans, being a very intelligent people saw the cycles in the planets and used them to make their calendar. It actually is a very complex and interesting system. The ending of their calendar on Dec. 21, 2012 was not forecast, by them, to be a time of catastrophe, but just the end of a cycle.
Do you remember Y2K? Remember the hype? What happened? Nothing, just the end of a cycle. This is all these people said was going to happen. Any speculation about horrible events have been added by those in modern times who have "imagined" what is going to "happen.' There has been some speculation regarding some irregular sun spot activity and the potential for cataclysmic happenings in climate. If any of this did transpire, it would only happen because God is the author of what is happening.
Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Have you paid attention to the earthquakes and tsunamis that have been happening more and more? Signs.
So what of these ancient cultures, did they know anything about the end of times? I believe they did. What makes me think this? Consider this verse:
Jude 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, Jude 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
Question: Where did Jude get that info? Search the scriptures, this is the ONLY reference to this statement about Enoch, yet we know it is true because God committed it to the word of God for us to read. The Jews knew it. Jude knew it, that's why he shared it with us.
Question: Is it unbelievable to think that other people on this side of the flood had that same story to tell their children, and their grandchildren? Of course it's believable. When we look into other cultures they have almost exact replica stories of the flood, who was in it, and how God saved them. A good read is, 'Eternity in Their Hearts,' by Don Richardson. He carefully chronicles how cultures around the world, though pagan, had in their folklore, the knowledge of the creator God. One group called him Thakur Giu, the Genuine God.
Instead of teaching your cousin about "these lies," share with her how the ancient cultures had certain truthes that were universal and preserved through folklore throughout the generations.
2012, though God had told us not to set a date, (and the Mayans didn't!) can be used as a window of opportunity to share the greater truth of the Second Coming of Christ. Consider this powerful truth:
Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: Joel 2:29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. Joel 2:30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
God is opening the eyes and senses of Earth's inhabitants regarding His coming. If one sees the word of God as the reliable, final authority, obviously, they are going to understand what God is saying and doing. Again, consider:
Dan 12:9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Dan 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
Zec 11:11 And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the LORD.
So, it is true that Jesus Christ is the revelation of God, but God is at work opening the understanding of all men who will humble themselves and seek Him before it is too late.
Are we seeking him?
Bro. Ben
