The rains we have received over the weekend have been intense. We have a great deal of flooding, eight flood related deaths, and dozens of road closures. Here is a picture of the Emergency Management folks saving a truck driver stuck on I-24 just SE of Nashville. (Notice the roofs of the cars!) Photo compliments of wtvf.images.worldnow.com We went to church this morning and almost didn't make it there do to flooding. One family was there are said we had better leave for home NOW, or we were going to get trapped on the other side of the river. We left JUST IN TIME! There have been floods, mud slides, and more. It is amazing! We and the other couple came to our house, had services and lunch. It was a blessing. Here is a link to a site with several photos of the local flooding. (lot's of photos bog down the site.) Good article Nine killed in Tennessee and Mississippi stormsBro. Ben

It's scary. I'm glad you guys got home safe and sound!
I'm praying for all the folks involved.
My folks had to get a second septic installed and a special pump thingie for when it floods. Our property back home is really low and water would just pour into the septic chamber. I'm glad they have it fixed, especially now.

They have upped the death count to 11. Here is a picture of two teenagers who were rescued. Please keep the people in our area in your prayers. Bro. Ben
