Would you join me in praying over my 10yo daughter. I think she is very close to making the salvation decision. I believe the only thing holding her back is because they have been talking about baptism at church ( it IS a baptist church after all) and she is nervous about that. She asked me a lot of questions last night in the car and we talked a lot but she is a little uncertain. I am praying hard.
I am also praying for my sons of course, I just know The Lord is working on my daughter's heart so I am adding extra focus. My oldest is 14 and my youngest is 7. They have not accepted Christ yet. My 12yo son believed on Jesus as his savior a few years ago at a VBS event, I think it was a true conversion because of the way it happened, but my mother is concerned it was not.

Praying. It's a wonderful thing when a child professes Christ, but I think it's always a good idea -- at any age -- to encourage them to examine themselves and their fruit to be sure of their conversion. I don't think multiple "conversions" is something to worry about. I sometimes think I might have been saved when I first prayed for salvation at the age of 4, I'm almost positive I was saved before I was baptized at the age of 13 (although at times I have considered re-baptism), but what really matters is that I know I was saved by the age of 15. However, even now when I question my salvation, I don't look back to an experience, but examine my current fruit and walk with the Lord.

What an anxious and exciting time of life. We will pray with you. Be patient my preacher back home always said, "God wants to save them more than you want them saved." Don't push for a prayer, pray for conviction. I see many cases where youth conversions don't stand the test and sometime in the teen years they have to wrestle with God.
I just prayed with them when they asked questions and asked the Lord to speak to their hearts and show them when it is time. Some say, "What if they don't hear God's call?" My reply would be, "What God do you have? Mine is called, Saviour and Redeemer, he is in the saving business!"
Amen.

Praying that the Holy Spirit will convict her of her sin, and that she will be saved soon.
