"NAACP passes resolution blasting Tea Party 'racism'"
Because Barak HUSSEIN Obama, happens to be 1/2 black,( and of course 1/2 white,) if someone has the AUDACITY to attack him, his agenda, or the liberal agenda of the lefties, they are RACIST! This is absurdity in it's purest form. What we really have here is a classic case of REVERSE RACISM.
To the dear (liberal) black reader who happens to stumble across this post can I remind you a few things. There are a whole bunch of us out here who grew up, fully integrated with the blacks. We went to school with them, we played sports with them, we hung around with them, we had black friends, we listened to R&B, and when we came to know the Lord we worshipped with them.
We take offense at your, "Whitey keeps holding me down!" attitude. Whitey didn't keep Colin Powell down, nor Condoleeza Rice, or a host of other great black Americans who decided they were going to get up and do something with their life.
We take offense at your implication that we (whitey's) owe you something because some of our (dead) great great great grandfathers had slaves over 145 years ago. PLEASE, can you do us a favor...GET OVER IT!
Recently the Denver CO public school system got in HOT WATER because they wanted to serve...ready for this racially inflamed menu...
Fried Chicken, Collard Greens, and a biscuit on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. THAT'S NOT BLACK, THAT'S SOUTHERN! Dr. King was a Southern man, he liked this food. That's good eatin! This is crazy. And, of course, the beaten down soft public spokesman released the following:
"The plan to serve a Southern-style meal in recognition of Martin Luther King Day was well intentioned but highly insensitive in light of certain hurtful cultural stereotypes still harbored in parts of our society."
Someone hand me a hanky and some baby aspirin.
So what was Dr. King's favorite food?
"A menu committee researches all promotions and has utilized the MLK Center of Atlanta as a resource for information about this famous leader. Elaine Hall, from the Archives Department at the King Center in Atlanta, has informed the committee that Dr. King's favorite meal includes fried chicken, collard greens, cornbread and sweet potato pie."
What was he...a racist? No, he was Southern and we like our fried chicken, greens, biscuits, sweet potato anything, and the list goes deliciously on.
They really dishonor the great Dr. King who said:
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. "
The content of the above mentioned character appears to me (and many others,) as petty, small, demeaning to the wonderful people God created who happen to be...black.
And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross. Matt. 27:32
My dear black friends, your slave ancestors cried out to the God of heaven for liberation. You broke your hearts before God and sought his Christ. Not only did this result in REVIVAL amongst the slaves, but the Presidency of Abraham Lincoln who brought that very freedom.
