Hello, I am Brenda. I am new to the site as a member. I have visited this site several times in the past. I am a stay at home wife and mom who home schools. My wonderful husband of 15 years (last week was our anniversary), Ken, works from home as well so our family is together day and night most of the time. We have been blessed by God with two boys, one who will be 10 very soon and one who just turned 7. When I was single and then first married, I was a teacher in a Christian school. My husband and I agreed from the start that we wanted to homeschool the children that God gave us.
My husband is finishing his Masters degree in Bible online in addition to working a full-time job from home and having his own business on the side. We are seeking where the Lord will lead us in the future. We currently live just outside of Charlotte NC.
We are seeking to glorify God in our lives and live as He commands. We are Baptists, but there are many things going on in the movement that are not right and concern us greatly. There are several topics here on this forum that are of particular interest to me especially as I have been learning about headcovering through my husband's leading.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this forum.

Welcome Brenda,
We are glad to have you here with us. May the Lord guide your family and greatly bless yall. It is an exciting time learning about the covering and the Lords will.
Is your husband going to be a preacher? You mentioned he was taking Bible online.
Have a great day!
Love, ~ sister Darlene ~

My husband is open to what the Lord has for him. We don't know if he will be a preacher or Bible teacher or what the Lord has for us. Several years ago he thought the Lord wanted him to be a preacher, but yet the doors to business kept opening and the doors to the ministry & finishing Bible seminary kept closing. He does feel like the Lord has more for him in life than business. He wants to make a difference. We are thankful that he is able to finish seminary now.

Brenda, Welcome . . . .glad that the Lord has directed you here! Thank you for sharing about you and your family and what the Lord is doing in your lives currently I'm in my mid-40s, married w/no children and am self employed. My husband is disabled. It is difficult to meet others whose desire it is to separate themselves unto the Lord and not be caught up in the things of this world, which are just vanities and will pass away. . .so I am glad this fellowship board is here. Lord bless, Mary Jo (Mooresville, NC)

Hi Brenda. I'm new here as well. I love the name Brenda. When I was a kid, I always wished that was my name. I too am a stay at home wife and home school mother. My children are ages 10, almost 8, 6, and almost 4. I just completed "Home School Week" on my website (you can see the URL in my siggy). You may want to stop by and add your two cents - that would be fun. Anyhoo, hope to see you around here. I've wanted to join this board for a while, but every time I stopped by, registration was closed. The other day, I saw it was opened, and I joined right away. LOL
