Considering the doctrinal stance of this board, which non-English versions of the scriptures are acceptable (ancient or modern languages)? It seems clear that the Hebrew and Greek texts that the KJV was itself based on are acceptable.

I don't know much about non-English versions, but I did read an article once exposing the 1960 version of the Spanish Reina Valera. Apparently, it's been 'watered-down' when compared to the earlier edition published about 50/60 years earlier.
But, I don't speak nor read Spanish too well, so I'm no authority on the subject...

Yes, the Reina Valera is equivalent to the NKJV. If you want a KJV equivalent in Spanish, you want the Reina Valera Gomez. Bro. Gomez, being fundamentally conservative, took time to to through the TR base for the RV, and make all the changes necessary to make it consistent with the KJV.
In answer to your question, Robert, I believe the reliable base manuscript is the Textus Receptus. Any version (language,) coming from the manuscript is comparable to the KJV for THAT language.

However...
In light of what I believe in regards to the inspiration of scriptures being "IN" the words, I am coming to see that a foreign language could make a translation from the King James Version and perhaps be better off than digging out the TR. If God's breath stays with his word, then the KJV is superior to the "originals," because we do not have them, and God has kept his word comtemporary through the KJV, (it is obvious by his blessing upon it, and Satan's attacks upon it.)
