We have been struggling with a decision for a few months now and I am just at my wilts end...... We pray and pray and pray and just can't find the direction that we are sure of!!! OK.... 3 Choices!!! 1. Stay at a church that loves us, support us and even help financially, but the women don't cover, they cut hair, wear pants and wear todays skimpy fashions.... and They believe in infant baptism not believer's Baptism ( as we do) 2. Go to a conservative church that we agree doctrinally and hr and half away but because we are on our second marriage, they believe we must separate and if not, we are just sinners and on our way to hell and while they are nice to us, there is a lack of true bond, for we can't even take communion 3 stay home... by our selves and my son will grow up alone and we will have no Godly fellowship!! So?

So? My husband and I talked about this and here is our take on it. 1. Continue to pray and seek God's will. 2. Make occasional trips to other small Baptist churches. You might find one that even though the covering isn't practiced they may teach believer's baptism. If you find one you like and start attending while covering, you may become an example to others to start also. I've never heard of a protestant church that practices infant baptism. May I ask which denomination you attend now?

The local church we attended that welcome us, and we are an example, for one young man is trying to get his wife to cover, that practices infant Baptism is Prebyterian.
The church that is far away that we agree doctinally is a none denomination, they basically a covered Baptist but have no affiliation with any denomination, but they believe we are sinners, so there is a lack of close brotherly bond, I think they hope that after being under there teaching we will divorce.
We have been praying and are crossed between the two because one accepts us but not a good example for my son.... The other doesn't or won't bond ( we will be on the outside) but they will embrace my son ( almost 2) and are a good environment for him to be around

Pray and ask God what HE wants you to do. God is quite good at making His will be known if we trust Him to answer and lead. Be patient, His answer will come. One thought: if a group does not accept the marriage of you and your husband, will they be teaching your son that you are unacceptable as his parents? Pray and think about that. Ask the group leader that's 90 minutes away. WE had a talk with them and they desire us there for fellowship for there son too, who is two also, there is one other boy there too.. but the group is only 2 families... ( about 10 ppl) with 3 boys in total ( that includes ours) so they are looking for fellowship...
They won't teach we are inadequate but will teach and promote that remarriage is a sin... So my son will eventually know we are remarried and he will know we can not do communion even if he can... So I guess he will believe we are sinners too.
Though we feel we are not, for Jesus said "except for adultry" so we feel we were released of our first contract... and that is what we will teach him....
But not sure how it will play out in his mind

I have no advice, but will pray for wisdom and direction. Finding good like-minded churches is very difficult.

OK we think God is directing us....
So someone led me to a home church site in Alabama ( 300 miles away) upon speaking to the Man of the house he encouraged us to home church....
Which is something we have been contemplating this past week ( we usually have been searching for churches)
Then a Missionary friend who is traveling the world happened to be in our area today, so we took him out to dinner and randomly he suggests that we start a home church " and have fun with it" he said.
So now we are seriously considering the avenue.... any thoughts???

May the Lord give you and your husband direction as to what to do regarding regular worship and fellowship.
