I found this great site which applies the bible to struggles in our lives, it is an online bible study course. This site has many areas in which to choose for your study. It has gambling, eating pornography, and a few other studies we all struggle with. Currently I am taking the study on eating. I am in day 6 and I honestly feel they are on to something. I think so far the only down i have seen on this course is they are not using the King James Bible I think it is NIV not real sure, but I read my Bible along with the study. anyway, I thought I would share the site in case anyone was interested in checking it out. www.settingcaptivesfree.com/home/

If you want to find true freedom it can be found at Reformers Unanimous. www.reformu.comReformers Unanimous is the fastest growing, largest and most successful Christian addictions abstinence program in the world. We use only the King James Bible. One of our greatest successes is in eating problems. The reason for the success is that we use curriculum that is only from the Bible. We do not use the words of men in any way. All of our studies come directly out of the Bible. Reformers Unanimous will teach you a different way to think. It is the best discipleship program I have ever seen. Reformers Unanimous works for any addiction, stronghold or stubborn habit because the Bible does not distinguish between such. All of these problems, whether it be alcohol, drugs, pornography, gambling, smoking, over eating, under eating, anger or whatever are called SIN. This may sound as if we have found some miracle cure. We have. It is located in the Bible. I simply do not understand when someone has a problem they go running to the words of men. They will not help you on a permanent basis. The Bible itself says the words of men will fail. Some book or program is not necessary. What is necessary is a ministry of a local Church that will teach through the Bible how to find true freedom. If you want to find true freedom it can be found at Reformers Unanimous. www.reformu.comis this a free study, at this time free is all I can afford. As I said before, the study I am currently doing has blessed me in ways I would have never thought possible. I have learned that I am trying to fill a need with the wrong things. I have made food an Idol in my life and now I am filling that empty spot with more thought, reflection, and time spent with God.

No, it is not a free study but it is provided for about what it costs to priint and ship it. Almost everyone who suffers some kind of addiction can afford to buy the curriculum materials. In this instance wiht an eatiing disorder perhaps some of the money saved by not indulging can be used to purchase the materials. I would suggest going to the RU website and following the links to see if there is a chapter in your area. We currently have clsoe to 500 chapters. If there is one contact the director. I am certain they can work out some kind of payment solution.

Thank you coveredwife for this link. I am so glad you are being blessed by the study and growing in the Lord by it. I think I will do one of their studies. I think I will do this one. The Philemon Study This 13-Day course is a verse-by-verse study of the Book of Philemon, seeking to highlight the aspects of Christ's redemption on the cross, the grace of God, the intercessory work of Christ as illustrated by the Apostle Paul, and true repentance as exhibited by Onesimus. I am glad there are good free studies out there.
Thank you Bro. George for the encouraging words about RU and for a link to there site.
A sister on this site a while back was reading a book from RU and really getting a blessing! I wish I remembered the name of the book. It might have been sister Shanna or sister Lenni or maybe Michelle, whoever it was would you please let me know the name of the book you were reading that was such a blessing, I would like to order one.
Blessings to all especially Bro. George...I am praying for Gods complete healing on your body, we do not want to loose you here on earth. Gods will be done. We love you and are lifting you up in prayer.
Love, ~ sister Darlene ~

I can't say enough good things about the RU program. I have been attending since last November and I've grown sooooooo much in my walk with the Lord!!!
Sis. Darlene, There are two different books that I'm reading/have read from RU that have blessed my heart tremendously! One is called Why Is Everybody Crying? and the other is Nevertheless I Live. These books are great. WIEC is a short read.. under 100 pages or just over, can't remember .. but NTLIL is longer, but it's great!!!!!
