I am Sister Serenity, I am a modest headcovering woman. and have for 15 years. My Husband (Ernie) and I retired, have 2 plus acres we farm on (use to be in the Country, but has built up out here). Our garden has a great start and we are getting squash, spinach, and have gotten a few strawberries and cherry tomatoes, waiting for more foods. . There are no headcovering women around here except Nuns. So we have services at home. We consider ourselves to be like a Anabaptist who believe in immersion baptism (as Adults not Babies or young Children). Ernie was baptized in a Baptist Church as a teen and I was Baptized in a Church of Christ.. Since then we have moved on to different beliefs. We would like to move to an area near like Believers, but can't afford it right now. I am trying to teach myself to sew better so I can make my own jumpers, dress slips with sleeves, pinafore aprons and headcoverings, right now I buy from "Katies Mecantile" when I can afford it. God Bless you Brother Ben and sister Darlene.. Sister Serenity

Brother Ben checks in from time to time but is battling some health issues. It always gives me a smile to see a woman wearing the headcovering. The nuns I've seen are beautiful in their modest dresses and veils. So are the Old German Baptist Brethren women as well as so many others. I want to encourage you in learning to sew because it's so rewarding to have modest clothing at reasonable prices. What state are you located in? Maybe we can find some groups near you. Brother Randy is Mennonite I believe.

Welcome Sister Serenity, Sister Guadalupe is correct in that I am a fairly conservative Mennonite, Christian first ,then Anabaptist , then Mennonite. If you don't mind my asking what part of the country do you and your husband live? I would hope you might become a regular here, and if you have question we will try to do our best to answer them. May the Lord richly bless you as you follow Him.
Bro Randy
