Hello Ladies~
Amy Jett here. Just wanted to say hi. I sent our family introduction in last night to the Fellowship Hall section. Am very happy to have found this wonderful website. But I am new to discussion board chats, and am not real computer oriented anyway!!
We home school 5 of our 8 children, 3 are now grown and on their own. We began our 22nd year a few weeks ago. We live in central AL on a small farm, raise a good bit of our own food. I can, sew, knit, spin, make cheese from our fresh cow's milk. We dress in cape dresses and my husband is praying about the covering for us. In fact today I am sewing on a few new dresses for us. We are striving for a simple, God-centered lifestyle.
Blessings~

Dearest sister Amy, Were so glad you found our site. We have 8 children also our oldest !8 is Benjamin. Our youngest is Caleb 2, 6 girls inbetween ages 13, 11, 8, 7, 5, 3 . Where do yall go to church? What town are you in. You might be near sister Kim. I'm new with this computer stuff too. I type with one finger. What kind of doctor is your husband? Thats pretty neat. It can save on health related bills. Can yall come to our camp meeting next weekend? Your welcome. May the Lord bless your day sister. Have fun sewing. We sure need to get busy sewing ourselves. ~ Sister Darlene ~

Sister Darlene~ Our Benjamin is also 18!! We are in Eastaboga, near Anniston and about 45 minutes E of Birmingham. We are now attending a small Southern Baptist church. Noone dresses plain or covers We have one other family near us that cover and dress plain. In fact our Benjamin is betrothed to one of their daughters. We have some really good friends that live in Linden TN that are completely plain. Not too far from Laurenceburg. My husband is a family practice doctor and yes, it does help alot. However, we are blessed with healthy kids, so aside from a few stitches now and then, and the occasional cold, sore throat, or ear ache he doesn't have to tend to us too often! I am learning about herbs too and make some salves, ointments to use as well. It is unlikely that we will be able to attend the camp meetings next week . Stan is on call at the hospital and it is difficult to trade call in the fall due to football nonsense here!! Will there be tapes available? Well, need to get a bit more sewing done and then get going on some supper. Blessings~
