My name is Brandon. I am in my early 20's and I have a wife and 3 children. It has been about 6 years since I have been born again. I was born in Texas but now I live in NC. Have only been a member of an Independent Baptist church. After the years I spent in there I just recently this week resigned my membership and my families to find a more "like fellowship". We have begun to attend a Beachy Mennonite congregation and we are going to see how it goes there. As well we may even attend the "Charity" affiliated congregation here in NC to see how it goes there. Hopefully soon we will be able to become members permanently at a Church with like convictions of me and my family.

Welcome Brandon! I'm Regina, wife to a wonderful husband and three sweet daughters here in CA. We currently attend a small Baptist church and when we are able, we go to a Conservative Mennonite church which is about two hours away. We don't go very often because of the distance. I hope you enjoy being here. We have been quiet lately but I'm hoping we can start chatting again.

Welcome Brandon,
I'm Sandi, wife to Bill and mother to 3 children. I also live in NC, but the far western part. I didn't know that there were any Amish/Mennonite churches in NC (or Charity for that matter). We're currently attending a SBC and I'm so thankful to have found this group ~ I'm learning so much just reading through previous postings.
I'm new here as well but it is certainly a pleasure to meet you.

Thank you all for the welcome. We do enjoy attending our Amish Mennonite Church, and after this past weekend my family and I feel it to be the Lords will for us to continue there every Sunday. I can post my experiences I have here if any would like. There are not many Mennonites in NC as compared to other southern states. But the one my wife and I attend currently are very conservative; yet their standards to them are not a truly doctrinal matter, but one the brethren feel is good for them to keep the brethren together and the church from falling into worldliness and apostacy and to keep from producing false professions of faith amongs people. The church votes on what is needed and what is not for their people to protect them. They believe very closely to what Baptists do except with a few minor differences. Mainly that of the belief that a man can fallaway through unbelief. They believe you can only be born again once; but through unbelief you can die spiritually and may need to be revived. They do not believe works, nor their standards save them. (unfortunately some mennonite groups seem to believe that way today...but not these) But the church is wonderful and the spirit there is great and there truly is a feeling of being part of the brethren. The preaching and music is great and the lives are simple; but the people are happy and divorce is almost non-existant. The church is in Taylorsville Sandi so it is not too awful far for you to visit one day. Thanks all!
