Here is an update!
We'll the workday last Saturday Sept.16th was called off too. That was very disappointing because we had everything (the food extra workers) already planed. The brother leading up the basement work called at 10:05 Pm and said if we could get a cement crew to finish the basement that he would be willing to pay the going rate of 1.25 a block, there are at least 550 block left to lay. Wow! What a blessing straight from the hand of God.
On Wednesday September 20th the cement crew went to the property and set up their scaffolding and went to work finishing our basement. Praise the Lord! God is abundantly good!
We have not been to the property to see the basement yet, we hope to go this Saturday September 30th.
We called our Baptist friend that has helped so much with our basement, the brother who dug our basement and footer and it's his cement crew that are the ones, that the other brother is paying to put up the basement. He said that he wants to hand pour and finish the walls. We told him that the other brother was just paying for the walls to be put up and he said ''I know, I just want to do it for you'' God is so good!
So hopefully this week end ( Saturday September 30th) we will go to the property and see the walls filled. Also we will hopefully paint the protective coating on as well. We are using the same stuff they used on the Sea World water tanks that hold their fish, sharks, whales etc. Isn't that neat! That should hold the water out. Please pray that we will be able to get about 5 young men or men to volunteer to help finish out this basement so we can go up with the rest of the house. The builders are eager to go up with the house. So are we! How exciting to see the good hand of the Lord moving! Love, ~ sister Darlene~

I am so pleased to hear the progress on your house! Do you have any idea when you may be able to move in yet? It sounds as if it is a long way off but we cannot predict what God holds in store for us. When you get up there I presume Brother Ben or you will take some more pictures to share with us.
Thank you for your encouragement concerning my health. I am not really in any pain with the exception of the sometimes debilitating cramps I have in my hands and occasionally in my feet. My insurance company is assigning me a "complex care" case worker. (I guess that is because I am a complex person. Just ask The Lord.) She is supposed to meet with me tomorrow. Her function will be to coordinate with me and the medical practitioners I see about my side effects, nutrition, treatment and such. My goodness, they are treating me as if I am a person with some terrible disease or something. True I do have cancer, or had it whichever is the case, but I am not a basket case by any means. I don't know why I deserve so much attention.
Sometime in the next couple of weeks I am supposed to get a PET scan to see what we are actually dealing with. After that I will let everyone know how things go.
I apologize for not posting any studies recently. I don't know where the time has gone. I have started working on one on Fear. When I finish it I shall post it.
In Christ, George

Here is another update!Last Saturday September 30th, we went to the property and met with our Baptist brother and two men he payed to come help pour the walls from his cement crew. Benjamin my son is the only helper that showed up. Everyone at the last min couldn't come. Our friend Christian sent his two sons down at lunch time to bring Pizzas and Cokes. We brought some homemade bars and Amie's Birthday cake she turned 13 the next day, we also brought a lg jar of pickles. ;D The children love to snack on those big pickles (whole dill).
The men worked very hard almost non stop until lunch 30 min the hard work until it was finished. What a blessing to see our finished basement. Benjamin stood on the scaffolding and lifted up the 5 gal buckets of cement and poured all our walls. What a job, I was so proud of my boy. That was back breaking work.
On Tuesday Oct 3 rd, Bro Ben took off work so did Benjamin, we met at the property and all went to work finishing out the outer walls, we painted 4 - 5 gallon buckets of Dri Lock on the outside walls, we still had one 5 gallon bucket to paint on when it got dark.
We came back on Saturday Oct 7th, and finished painting! Ya hoo! Now we can go up with the house! We are going to send our final upstairs and attic blueprint top Ben's brother in Fla who is a contractor. He will look everything over and tell us what materials we need to order to finish the house structure. We will then order a lumber package order etc. and go forward, having another work day, this time with carpenters. How exciting! Things are coming right along. Oh I forgot to say the building codes inspector came and gave us the ok on our basement, and said we can build the house now! We asked if we can build an outhouse and he said we sure can. Isn't that a blessing!
More later, hopefully before Thanksgiving!
Thank you for all your prayers, and encouragements. They really mean alot!
Love, ~ sister Darlene ~

Dear Brethren,
We are all doing fine here! I have been so busy between schooling, house building (there is so much involved ), and we've been baking bread every Thursday, and doing major clean up and organization of the 15 acres we've rented here for 10 years ( so much involved) we are preparing our property to move, we've been weathering in our many animals for the winter. Whew! I've thought many times about getting on, but never seem to find the time. I miss everyone. I guess I need a break from the net again. I'll continue to pop on when I can. So many new faces... Greetings to you all!
We spoke to our contractor friend that is helping us so much on the building of our house, he is the one loaning us the rest of the money needed to finish the house. Our other friend paid him and his crew over 700.00 to finish putting up the block for our basement 7 more courses.
He was glad to hear from us and eager to see the house progress. He said he will get some tar and 6 mil plastic and a dump truck of gravel and bring his back hoe and help us put in the French drain, paint on the tar, cover it with plastic, then pour the gravel in to fill in the outer walls. Then he'll take his back hoe and dig our out house. The Government codes wants us to build an out house or get a Port a John put on the property for the workers to use. We are glad we can put in an out house. It will be helpful to use when were out working in the field or at the barn, once we move in.
Then he told us to get ready to order our lumber packet and go up with the house.
We need lots of fervent prayers, for the Lord to provide workers that know how to build good strong stairs, frame houses, build sturdy porches, etc... and a good electrician, and knowledgeable plumber etc... Prayers are so needed and important to us. The Lord has done so much already, I know He will continue to bless us.
Benjamin's boss (contractor) use to one a building supply store and he sold it but still owns shares in the company and still gets all his building supplies for cost, he has offered to provide our building package delivered for his price that he gets it all for not the marked up price. This will greatly bless us on the overall cost of materials. We just keep waiting on the Lord and are delighted in His continual provision for our families great need.
Glory to God! He is a good Lord! All the time...even in hardships and trials. We have seen alot of vallies but have never been let down or deserted by the Lord, He has stayed so close through it all. We serve a big God, who tenderly watches over His dear flock and dearly loves His children. Praise His Holy Name.
Thank you all who care for our family and who pray and do not cease to encourage us.
Love, ~ sister Darlene ~

Bro. Ben and Sis. Darlene, How about an update on your new house? It's been a while, has the weather delayed your work?
