Please keep this in your prayers...Prayer is much appreciated and needed...
My 40th Birthday is next Wednesday and I've never had a wreck or a ticket and last night , I took Benjamin to the library to drop off his books and it's a tight squeeze in a 15 passenger van, I backed up and hit a small parked car. I was so upset... I felt so bad... Then I took Bonnie to the store for more material and got out to go in and locked my keys in the van. Now that really upset me, Ben could not leave to come help me, What to do...I started having chest pains, I get them every now and then, I became sort of light headed and my thoughts became cloudy, I could have had a heart attack! ... Outwardly I was acting calm but inwardly I was undone... I still feel so bad for damaging that poor girls car, and wonder how much it will end up costing us, I hope we have enough money to pay for it all. I do not want folks mad at us...calling our home fussing about needing more money...May the Lord work it all out...I sure do not need the added stress...It probably would have been good for me to get in a few wrecks in my life time, that way I would just say no big deal... I've had many wrecks in my life time,( but I haven't.) I've been a good girl, tried to drive good, safe, with in the speed limit, obeying the laws of the land, and now just a few days before my 40th Birthday, I blow it...mess up my record...I feel so bad for her, for me, for Ben who is going to have to pay for my mistake somehow, He sure does not need the added stress. Please keep us in your prayers. Two days after my Birthday we are having Missionary's come to stay in our home and visit with us for 3 or 4 days. We are so excited, but there is much to do before they arrive. We want their stay to be a pleasant experience, and a blessing, and refreshing to their soul.Love in Christ, ~ sister Darlene ~

I'm so sorry to hear of your fender bender. I know exactly how you feel. Fretting about it is not good for our physical bodies and not trusting God with it is not good for our spiritual bodies. Take a deep breath and trust God to make it all good. Look at it this way, if the girl you bumped is not a Christian, you may be able to witness to her while dealing with getting her car fixed. Hope you have a great day and a wonderful birthday! Love, Sister Carole

Thank you for your encouragement!
You are right! I need to just give the whole thing to God and see how He might want to use this for His glory.
Pray for me to have the right words to say, and be used of God in this situation. Pray He'll work out the money part too.
Love ya sis, ~ Darlene ~

(Sister Darlene) A big HUG for you... I know that feeling of the crunch and the anxiety you felt...its been a long time since I did that...accidently...and I am praying the Lord interceeds here and removes your stress and worry and anxiety over this. It sounds like you had a panic/anxiety attack, which is usually brought on by something HIGH stress...I would drink chamomile tea or lemon balm if I could get it :-) If there is anything I can do personally to help..please call me..
Hugs and love in the Lord, Sister Penny

Dearest Penny,
I went to the tea section when I was at Wal Mart and I saw this tea called Tension Taimer...It has Eleuthero ( not quite sure what that is?) peppermint, ginger, chamomile, lemon grass, licorice, catnip, tiliaflowers (?), natural lemon flavoring, with other natural flavors, hops, and vitamins B6 and B12
It's pretty good.
B vitamins are good for stress.
Thank you for your soothing and comforting words. It helps.
Love your sister and friend, ~ Darlene ~

Sister Darlene,
I am sorry to hear about your little fender bender. The good thing is no one was hurt, it is just metal and can be repaired. I do pray that it don't end up costing to much though. I do believe God allows things like this for our good. " Cast all your care on him for he cares for us" . On the lite side now you can be normal like the rest of us that have had a few accidents or tickets, :)I will keep the situation in prayer.
Bro Randy

So now I'm normal... ... ;D...It's taken me almost 40 years to become normal.
Thank you Bro. Randy...I never thought of it that way. I feel encouraged.
Seriously, Thank you for the prayers. I talked to my insurance agent today and told him the whole story. I told him I was praying she would wake up ...look at her car and ...not think it's worth bothering to fix, thus deciding not to call me back about it. He said if she calls, for me to call him back and if not he wont file anything. I like that. Either way it will be taken care of. It's not bad damage and it's an old car, with mix matched tires, I think one is a donut. Our vehicle is old too, and we would not bother, just live with it. I hope she decides to do the same, then it wont go on my record and my insurance wont go up.
Thank you for the encouraging words and encouraging scripture.
Your a blessing Bro. Randy.
Know your in our prayers, your wife and family are precious to us.

Sister Darlene, I am so sorry to hear of your little episode. My goodness! I pray you are alright and everything will work out well. One thing we can be certain of is that it will be done in God's will.
I believe those may be stress related chest pains. I have had them myself a few times. I have had the same symptoms. At times mine get so bad I have to go to the ER with a panic attack and get a tranquilizer. They are very frightening. Normally they can be controlled by doing some deep breathing exercises. However if the mind takes over and decides you are having a heart attack it can be quite scary.
Please understand I am not a medical doctor nor am I trying to diagnose you. It is just that what you experienced is very similar to what I have had in the past. Each time an EKG shows no heart problems.
In Christ, George

Hi Sister Darlene, I feel so bad for you having two unfortunate things happen on the same day, but it will all look better in a day or two. If the lady calls you, you need to direct her to your insurance agent, that's what you pay for. The agent will handle the details if she wants to file a claim, and then it's settled. There's no reason for her to be calling you wanting more money. I also had a similar accident (my only one) when Siera was only 3, except I backed into a brand new Lincoln Continental with our 3/4ton pickup. Needless to say, the pickup bumper didn't even have a scratch, but the Lincoln had some damage. It was a small town and we both had the same insurance agent, so it was settled easily, but I had to endure the wrath of a very angry older lady. Like Bro. George said, deep breathing will help with the anxiety. I also have anxiety attacks sometimes, not sever, and since we've been here, very rarely. The blood vessels constrict with anxiety and the body doesn't get enough oxygen, so the deep breathing will help get your body the oxygen it needs and help you relax. I hope you are having a better day today and getting ready for the missionary visitors. Love, Sister Beverly

Praying for you. I'm so sorry that all this happened. I struggle with anxiety myself. I take omega-3 (oderless 1200mg) with B6 (100 mg) everyday. It will help replace what stress takes from your body. Being women, lots of things can take the B's from our body. The normal amount of B6 you find is 2 mg. My doctor told me that 100 is best (found at costco) and if my body doesn't need it, it will flush it away. You wont stroe it up. So it is safe. I like what Bro. Randy said about the car just being metel. It can be repaired. Hope your birthday and visit with missonarys are enjoyable. Lenni (coming out of the woodwork once again)

Sister Darlene, I have been where you are.. I know how you are feeling. When we lived in California, I ran right into a line of stopped traffic!! .. I hit a van and bumped it into a suburban.. and after hitting the cars, I bounced off of them and hit a tree on the other side of the road!! .. both of my doors were smashed and I couldn't get out of the car. I had to wait until the police got there to pry off my door so I could get out.. thankfully no one was hurt but the people I hit did try to get more money. But my insurance agent took care of everything. I was upset and afraid that they would try to sue me, but my insurance agent said that generally they can settle things for up to the amount I was insured for and that's what they did. I will be praying for you that it will be handled and that you will not feel stressed over it. Love in Christ, Andrea

I'm so sorry I forgot to post and let you all know what happened with my wreck (finder binder).
The girls father (a nice man ) contacted me two days later and said he wanted to settle for $ 200.00 that way neither of our insurances would go up. So I took it out of our House Building Fund... It was my only choice. It is paid and it is all over and I'm only out $200.00 dollars. My debt is paid, and I am glad, it could have been alot worse. The man was very kind and he was not mad at me at all, and never acted impatient. I praise the Lord for that. God is so good to me.
Thank you so much for all who prayed and all who were concerned. You comforted me in my time of need. I was so upset.
My record is still clear and my insurance untouched.
Love, ~ sister Darlene ~
