That is indeed a grievous error! My word how can someone come up with something like that? Every single word of the Bible was put in writing for the benefit of everyman (or woman.)
This reminds me of a statement I was given by a woman "preacher" one time. I made the statement to here that she called herself a Christian but did not believe the Bible. Of course I was challenged as to the basis of that statement. I quoted her the appropriate scripture. She told me, "That was then, and this is now." Excuse me??? Of course I asked her just exactly who it was who determined which parts of the Bible we are to adhere to and which parts we are not to adhere to? I asked her who it was that determined which parts of the Bible are outdated and no longer apply? She replied by saying she was only doing what The Lord had lead her to do.
Hogwash! She was doing exactly what her flesh was telling her to do. Period! God will not lead anyone to doing anything that conflicts with His Word.
Yours in Christ, George
