It sure looks like Bro. Ben is right about a post-trib rapture. Take a look at this article: www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2008/02/04/ED5OUPQJ7.DTLIt's all falling into place, my brothers and sisters. The gov't has the power to "detain people without legal or constitutional recourse in the event of "an emergency influx of immigrants in the U.S., or to support the rapid development of new programs." Ummm, WHAT programs are we talking about? Here's an even scarier quote: Christians have already been referred to by Attorney General Janet Reno as a CULT. We've been accused of hate crimes for speaking out against sin. How far are we from being considered by the gov't to be potential terrorists? It's exciting, in a gut-wrenching sort of way, LOL!

Once again, the time is coming upon the church. All through history time and time again....because we do not bow the knee...even to so called "christain" govt's (ROME)...we ate persecuted because we do not go along where the state goes against the Bible. Sister, we can stand together, and we can preach in boldness all the way to the stake. Thousands upon thousands of true believers have been subject to persecution throughout the year. To God be the glory.

CORRECTION: we ARE persecuted because we do not go along where the state goes against the Bible.

At the above listed link, the man said:
This sounds good in 20th and 21st century America (so far,) but don't tell this to the Anabaptist martyrs of yesterday, and the persecuted church in China, Viet Nam, and the Islamic nations. There, the Wicked One seems to rule that day. Now we know he does not rule, but he does oppress and some cases, severely.
The text does not ever say, the restrainer is the Church. Actually the church, when pure and powerful, usually exists in terrible persecution. The severly watered down and defiled church of America cannot comprehend this. Satan leaves the church in America alone because she is weak.
Furthermore he says:
The scripture does not say God will pour his wrath out on the church. It says he will remove them at the end, and THEN pour out his wrath on the armies of the earth that are gather together to fight against him.
Rev 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. Rev 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. Rev 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. Rev 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
He also said:
This is not true. The above scripture clarifies the sequence of events. Believers called to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, and THEN comes God's wrath.
Time limits me from further comment. But alas, I hope we go out before, but we had better prepare for otherwise!

God proclaims his wrath against certain places and groups prior to Rev. 19, i.e.,
Rev 16:19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
But, in Rev. 19:15 it is the nations that get the full wrath:
Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
The Church is already gone.
Hopefully I answered clearly that the church will not endure the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. However, here is something that many forget. The persecuted church is enduring severe persecution already. Strangely, it results in a church that has all the chaff cleared out, only the strong and faithful endure. Question: Does the church in America need purging? Why would God allow it?
Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Most people KNOW what the Bible teaches, but the professing church of our time is hard pressed to OBEY. That is what the Lord is looking for you know, loving obedience. It does no good to God, ourselves, the church at large, or the lost to be gun barrel straight, doctrinally, and twice as empty. Many see hard, straight, doctrinal preaching as the end, it is not, obedience is. God is not trying to persecute us, and He grieves when we are, but he is just trying to draw us to Him. Tribulation does that.
Israel had to endure the trouble that was going on in Egypt, but God kept them from the wrath of it.
Rev 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
May His people be counted worthy to be kept from tribulation, many aren't, but He is faithful to His children whether we go over, under, or through the fire.
