My dear Brother And Sister, what an incredibly tough week you have had! I am certain young Benjamin was in quite a bit of distress. I cannot really believe the nursing staff would take difficulty breathing so lightly. I suppose after the respiratory therapists make their reports there will be some training going on.
I am so sad to hear the Sister Darlene lost the baby. I know how excited everyone was about the new addition to the family. It appears the Good Lord had other plans.
Praise God that you are a family of saved and born again Christians. I can only imagine what unsaved and unchurched people would be going through right now. In fact such things are enough to cause even some Christians to begin questioning God. The faith of the Smith family is such that your reliance on the Lord to supply all things including, strength, comfort in the time of need and the peace of God will bring you all through the hardest of times.
I shall continue to pray for all of the Smith family.
IN Christ, George

Oh... I am so, so sad that you lost the baby. The Lord comfort you and heal Sis Darlene. Thank the Lord that He brought Benjamin through the danger! A tooth infection can be a serious thing. Recently my cousin died when the infection spread to other parts of his body. ... Thank You, Lord, for watching over Benjamin!

Brother Ben
I just can't get out of my mind the possibility Benjamin may have had an allergic reaction to either the antibiotic or the pain killer ... the sudden ( not gradual ) swelling sounds like a reaction to a drug. I'm thinking in the future if Benjamin needs an antibiotic or pain killer again for something it would be good to know if he was allergic to one of the medicines that was given him for this recent problem. Just a thought . All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love, your sister

I am not a part of the Smith family but I can testify from personal experience that such swelling does take place in the case of an infected tooth. Some years back by neck on the left side was swollen from the jaw bone all the way down my neck. I went to see a dentist who referred me to an oral surgeon the next morning. When I woke up the next morning the entire face was swollen that way. It was very similar to young Benjamin's case in that he had to make a hole in my skin and put a drainage tube in there was so much infection present. I was quite amazed at how quickly I puffed up.

Thank you, allglory. I did not know him very well, but his mother (my aunt) is very special to me. Yes, tooth infections can be VERY serious, especially since they are so close to the brain. But any infection can get into the blood and cause serious problems. I'm so very thankful that Benjamin is well!
Sis Darlene, I don't know when you'll be able to get online again, but I'm praying for you and wish I could give you a big hug and just sit with you for a while.
Love, Sis Tammy

I do hope Benjamin has made a full recovery. I was very sad to hear of your loss regarding your baby. Its hard, very hard, but your faith and His steadfast love for you both and your love for one another, will carry you both through. I am only sorry I did not see this earlier....let that be a lesson to me. I am sending much love and prayers at this time, Sister Allene <><
