Please pray for one of my coworkers, John. He is in his 60's has had bad heart problems, and found out today that he is eat up with cancer. He came to work a week or so ago completely yellowish orange, even his eyes. We all knew something was bad wrong. He had been complaining about severe back pain. As it turns out, he has advanced pancreatic cancer, it has literally laserated his liver (which has caused him to have brown urine for a few weeks now,) and the cancer has grown up and wrapped around his spine.
Importantly, I have serious doubts about John's salvation. He grew up Lutheran and knows about the Lord, but in talks we have had, he seems influenced by liberal modernism. Please pray that the Lord will deal with him before he goes. He thinks he has 6 mos. to a year.

I'd be surprised if he lives as long as that. It sounds pretty advanced. I will pray that he would do some serious soul-searching - - soon. God's wake-up calls are sometimes very loud.

I am praying that he will call out to the Lord and that Godly people will be placed in his path that will comfort him and give him the Word. I had a thought today....that our lives are eternal now, we are not waiting on eternity, we are living the eternal life now in Christ Jesus, so death when we have that security, really does lose its sting! I also give thanks that he has you to pray for him and all the other prayers now being offered up from here, because the prayers of a righteous man (and woman!) really do availeth much. Thank you Jesus. Sister Allene <><

We received an email at the shop this morning from Gayle (John's wife,) and she said he spent the night disoriented, heaving for breath, and anxious whenever he was left alone. Hospice is there with him at this time. Pray, the Lord will let him hold on till I can get there and share the Gospel one more time. A Christian brother at work and I are going up as soon as I finish my job this afternoon. He has never clearly gave testimony to faith in the work of Christ. He only he says he talks to the Lord. Though a great guy, his light never has shown for Christ, I'm concerned for his soul.

Sadly, I must report this morning that John has passed away. I didn't get away in time, but my coworker Stan went to talk to him yesterday afternoon and was told they had taken John to the hospital. Though unconscious, Stan read the scriptures to him and prayed with him, making it clear how to receive Christ if he had not yet done it. This was around 3 P.M. aT ABOUT 4:45 P.M. John passed on. Please keep his wife, Gayle and the Burch family in your prayers.
