I've heard about it, and would like to go to one, if there were any close by, lol. I am glad Americans are taking a stand against the irresponsible spending of our government in this way. It is a good reminder that we've seen this kind of taxing tyranny before!

A darling among the conservatives, Texas ;D governor Rick Perry has been speaking on national radio about the irresponsibility of our Feds and their spending. Here is a link to an article about the Tea Party in Austin, TX yesterday. The outcome of our last Presidential election has caused the "real" conservative base to rise up and hopefully come up with a "real conservative." John McCain was a good man, but he was not the best man. Sadly, the accusation that he was George Bush reheated and served up again rang too true. "Lord, give us a real conservative honorable man next time." Texas Gov. Rick Perry Hey, Rick, how bout' running in 2012? Republic Broadcasting NetworkVery Interesting!

I do believe as believers we need to be careful in how involved we become in issues like this. If not careful we Conservatives ones will will get entangled to much in the things for this world. we need to change hearts not laws to bring about change.Groups like the Moral Majority , and Christian Coalition never worked they where working on the wrong end of the problems. Just my 1.5 cents worth Bro Randy

Amen Bro Randy! Our part is to be informed and to Pray.
Our country has seen some pretty major issues changed. I am thankful for those who are able to speak up and for those who are able to protect and fight for our country.
Devoted christians are few. We might not be called to fight or get involved, but we are called to pray. On the other hand we should be glad for those who do have a conservative voice in our Country. Communism would have taken over long ago, Socialism is in office. All is not gloom and doom, God could still spare America alot of heart ache, if we will do our part and pray for those God allows to be a voice in America.
Prayer does move the hands of God.
~ sister Darlene ~Yesterday we had a ''real tea party'', and Prayed for our Country and sang '' My Country, 'Tis of Thee, ... Sweet land of Liberty'' Me and all the children took time out of our day to talk about History, and Current events, our Faith in God, and we prayed and put our trust in God for the out come of all that is going on in our country.

1Ch 12:32 And of the children of Issachar, [which were men] that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them [were] two hundred; and all their brethren [were] at their commandment.
Mar 12:17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him. These two verses help put us in perspective. We are to neither be seperated from society so that we have no impact, nor are we to be so integrated that we are consumed with it and have no impact on the kingdom of God. Among the great men who surrounded David were men who "understood the times." That is needful as we see the coming of our Lord and the rapidly changing political environment. We can pray and act better when we are advised as to what is going on around us. Bro. Ben (more later)

Textremistetently written intelligence assessment, which directs law enforcement officials across the country to target and report on American citizens who have the political beliefs mentioned in the report, will be used as a tool to stifle political opposition and opinions. It will give a pretext for opponents of those Americans to report them to police as right wing extremists and terrorists. You can imagine what happens then.” The Report specifically mentions the following political beliefs that law enforcement should use to determine whether someone is a “right wing extremist”: Opposes restrictions on firearms Opposes lax immigration Opposes the policies of President Obama regarding immigration, citizenship, and the expansion of social programs Opposes continuation of free trade agreements Opposes same-sex marriage Has paranoia of foreign regimes Fear of Communist regimes Opposes one world government Bemoans the decline of U.S. stature in the world. Upset with loss of U.S. manufacturing jobs to China and India . . . and the list goes on ............................................................................................................................................................................................................... It will give a pretext for opponents of those Americans to report them to police as right wing extremists and terrorists. That's interesting the Republicans/ conservatives...never deemed the Democrats possible terrorists , but now they are attacking America from with in. Shame on them. American's have always been free to believe like they wish, whether it be Liberal or Conservative. Now their calling God fearing and moral minded Americans (which may not even be Christian) possible terrorist. How can that be? These are troubling times were living in.

Our nation was meant to be a sovereign nation. Obama and his party have forgotten that . And unfortunately so many Americans don't even know that anymore . sigh!

Okay now from what I have been able to learn from these tax "tea parties" is that they were either ignored by the major media people or deliberately attacked by them. Case in point: One of the news people on NBC denounced those who dared to participate in these tea parties as being red neck racists who were enraged over the fact that Obama had been elected president. (They never got into why they waited five months before they protested the election but hey when your trashing those who stand in your way why bother with facts?)
This is going to be one wild ride and to be honest with you I never really cared for roller coaster rides. In fact, on a good day, a merry-go-round is my speed. ;D However, there comes a time when too much going going around in circles gets you dizzy and you have to get off.
The role and relationship between Christians and the state have been one that has fueled debate on both parts. The debate will more than likely continue until Christ returns and establishes the one true kingdom. I agree with Brother Ben concerning our role as believers. We are called to live as both salt and light in this world. (Matthew 5:13-16) To live as lights in this world means our lives will be different but in a way that is to be positive. For far too long the world has only know what we who are the Church are against. We need to show them what we are for!
To live as the salt of the earth is to help slow down the rate of moral decay in this world. To add a better flavor to life here in this world (anyone who has been put on a low salt or salt free diet will know what I'm talking about here.) And to create a thirst in people that only the living water Jesus offers can truly quench. That means we should be involved because we are in this world. Not simply as another political option or process because we are not of the world.
But for believers here in America we also must realize that we are also part of an experiment that has lasted over 200 years. The experiment known as self-government based on democratic republic principles. A civil government like this was something that, from what I have been able to determine, was unimaginable to Simon Menno. And from my Wesleyan-Arminian background I know that even John Wesley had considerable trouble with the concept. And he was living in at when it started!
Now we need to remember that our task is not left up to us alone. Thank God for that! We must continue to seek His will for ourselves and this nation (which must include repentance as individuals and as a nation) Through prayer and through Holy Spirit led study and application of His word. And once we have learned what we need to do allow His Spirit to enable us to do it!
Okay that's enough for now sometimes my brain thinks faster than my hands can type. And to honest with you it's not all that hard for that to happen.

Amen, Bro. Jim. There is a delicate balance and these "radical socialists" are going to overturn the cart. I waas discussing with my wife, that Mr. Obama is just the front man, we don't see who the real scarry characters are in this socialist montrocity. They have taken the poitical experiment into the realm of terrifying science. We've already seen what socialism and communism do.
