Dear Sisters, I have a lot of carob powder that I have been meaning to use. I ordered it when I read about its health benefits. Anyway, I really have NO IDEA what I should do with it. Is anyone here famliar with carob? Can you use it with anything as you would cocoa powder? Do you have any recipes that have worked well with your family? Is carob really all that great? Any comments would be wonderful! Thanks so much for your help! Love in Jesus, Sister Angel

Dear Sister, I use carob powder just like cocoa in my baking, it seems to be a bit milder in taste, but works just as well :-)

Hello Angel,
I'm way behind on responses... (Hmmm suddenly I find a little time. Must be the snow outside keeping me in a little bit more.)
O.K. What to do with carob?
We found a really good recipe that our family loves and is good for you.
Hot Carob Drink:
combine: 1 cup milk, 1 tablespoon carob, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1/2 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract. Heat until hot... but do not boil.
Yumm!
