Dear Ladies,
What do you think about dieting?
Do you think all these new diets out there are good? Do they have lasting results?
I have seen ladies and even men loose weight, but I have been observing over the past 16 years that people I know that go on these diets eventually they gain most or all of the wait back.
A lady recently told me that fat sells never go away they just shrink, and can easily go back to the size they were. Interesting!
Some of us have had lots of babies or have gradually gained over the years. Is there any hope for us? Yes!
I personally do not believe in these fad diets.....
I believe in exersize...
Eating good foods and even a few not so good in moderation......
I do not believe in Vegetarianism, the bible clearly speaks against it...
1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1 Timothy 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
1 Timothy 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
1 Timothy 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
1 Timothy 4:5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
1 Timothy 4:6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
1 Timothy 4:7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
1 Timothy 4:8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
1 Timothy 4:9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
1 Timothy 4:11 These things command and teach......Though I do believe we should eat plenty of fresh or steamed vegis and fresh fruits..........
I believe a person should drink plenty of water, (2 qts a day at least), my friend keeps a quart jar by her sink and drinks when she sees it, this helps her......
I believe a person should not eat alot of refined or processed foods.......
Fresh air and sunshine is good for you.....Fresh air is good because we need it, Sunshine is good because it stimulates a gland in our bodies that help with depression and it adds Vit. C to our bodies....
Take a Multi Vitamin, Vitamin C , garlic gel cap, Vit E, maybe a few more... is good because our eating habits are not as they should be and our soil is depleted of nutrients we need.
Exercise: walk, ride a bike ( even a exercise bike would be fine), get a small trampoline and jump, etc. 4 times a week for 30 min.....
This is a very good one... Eat a large breakfast 30 min after you get up... This might sound like alot but it's important you eat this big breakfast because it gets your metabolism working...... 1 or 2 eggs 3 strips of turkey bacon, a bowl of cereal with milk, orange juice or other juice....
When you get hungry again in a few hours have a pear, apple and a banana, eat or make a powder to dip your fruit in out of almonds (you can use a coffee grinder) These three fruits and this one nut have beneficial properties that our bodies need and don't get..... Here is a thought if you have a vita mix machine you could just grind all this into a drink.
Eat a healthy meal before 6 pm...
Try to eat snacks (a hand full of raisins, nuts, some cheese, a salad, peanutbutter on bread or on fruit, wheat crackers and meat and cheese etc.. every few hours...we need to eat 6 - 8 times a day this includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.. this keeps our metabolism working.. Some ladies who are really over weight hardly eat anything but they can't seem to loose any weight, because there bodies are reserving fat because they are in starvation mode.... Makes sense doesn't it!
Also I think I'm the oldest here on board , my friend is older than me and she said after she started menopause her wait just didn't seem to come off no matter how hard she tried. She is having results now.
I said all this to say that all these trendy diets might seem good but there are unhealthy dangers in doing them... Low Carb, South Beach, etc.... Weight watchers is a good balanced diet to do it has had good results and it's balanced in theory.
The bottom line is we need to change the bad eating habits we have and the lack of water and exercise, sunshine a fresh air.
White flower is not good
Dies in our food and artificial flavorings are bad for us.
Refined foods (boxed or prepackaged foods, white sugar, lunch meats etc..)
Pops, sodas cokes, cold drinks (what ever you call them) there not good. Neither is cool- aid and drinks like that. We drink these in moderation like if we go to someones house, a church social, pick nick, etc.
Moderation is important with these items.
What are your thoughts? Do you have any suggestions or input?
I hope this has been a blessing to someone. I want to get started doing ''all'' of this so far I only do some.....
My major problem is not eating much at all during the day and regular at dinner which is usually around 7 pm.
I also need to exercise, and drink more water, more veggies, more fruit, eat breakfast and snacks, take vitamins etc........
Pray for me.. Does anyone relate?
