Ah rotting moon season here, tons of pollen. I have broke out into little patches of hives and they are driving me crazy.
I try not to itch them, put menthol lotion to stop the itch, but nothing is really helping. I'm taking antihistamines before bed and that has kind of helped.
Any home remedy to stop the itching?
Thanks!
Kat

Three things you can try...
1. Aloe Vera Gel, with Tea Tree oil added. I just put blops of Aloe on my arm in a few places, then drop a few drops of Tea Tree oil on the blops of Aloe Vera Gel, and rub into my arm, this is very soothing and helps much.
2. Another thing we love to use around here is Campho-Phenique this is great stuff and works on many things...It has Camphor in it.
I sure hope this helps you.
3. Also you could try taking Black Walnut liquid from the health food store, take as directed on bottle ( I think one dropper full 3 times a day) this is great for allergies!
I've heard Activated Charcoal binds up allergens and mold in your system and gets it out. You could try that if the others don't work.

Thanks! Kat Sister Kat: we take antihistamines, wash the hives with hydrogen peroxide (to stop any infection) and then put on cortisone cream to stop the itching.

I was in the ER with swine flu (fun fun there lol) and the doctor diagnosed my skin condition as P. Rosea. I can't pronounce it worth anything but she gave me some Prednisone and steroid skin creme. It's healed up after the treatment but left me some nasty scars.
If you get something like heat rash I'd really get it checked out.

Sister Katrina I sympathize with you tremendously. Some years back I had piteariosus rosea. ( I am not certain if the spelling on that is correct. It is making my on-line dictionary crazy.) I don't ever recall anything itching so bad. The doctor said the one thing about it that if you just leave it alone it will go away in about 6 weeks and if you medicate it, it will go away in about...6 weeks!
I shall be praying for relief from this terrible itching. When I had it I was convinced there was something terribly wrong with me. Not only did I itch something terrible I looked like I had the measles.
In Christ, George

I'm sorry to hear you had it too, it is awful stuff. It was the worst itch ever. I kept spreading it and reinfecting myself with it so I had it for half a year, wasn't very fun. It's better now but is trying to flare back up. The doctor said it was because my immune system was overreacting to the virus that causes it, gotta love that lol. I have a moody immune system . Thanks! I appreciate it! Kat
