Something happened the other day and I wanted to share with each of you..
It is funny how God does allow his children to grow just like we as parents watch our children grow.. This was shown to my dear husband and myself the other day.
It was a normal day just like any other. We needed to run into the next town over to pick up some animal feed at one of the large feed stores. It is much cheaper than the local feed store near us. Anyway after we picked up the feed we passed by the mall.. Now it has been years since we have went into this place. Why NOW why that day we decided that it would be a good idea to go into that place i will never know but we did... Once we got out we noticed that there was a new chucky cheese pizza place. Now if you would have asked us four or five years ago what we thought about that place we would have told you that it was a great place. NOw well we know that it is NO place for our family... Period. When we saw this we should have got back in our truck and headed home. However we thought well that is just one place the mall is full of great stores right....WRONG... As we walked around the mall not all of it honestly just a few stores we my husband and myself just looked at each other.. I was like has this place always been like this. Surly NOT.. It was full of lust, greed, worldly items.. It almost made me sick. My children were turning there heads so that they did not see this or that.. We got out of there as quick as we could.
When we got home all I could think about was all the trash that was brought into our lives. NO we did not buy anything NO we do not plan on ever going back.. It amazes me that not that many years ago we thought it was one of the greatest places to go.. NOT anymore.. God took off the blinders that we had. It broke my heart to see the state of our world. It was all there in that little mall. As we left the mall all I could do was pray. Pray over the people that worked there, the people that were coming there to shop. The people that were and are just like we were christians that had yet to have the blinders removed..
After all this my hsuband and i sat down and talked to our kids about what they saw and it shocked me to here them say that did you see how people were looking at us like we did not belong.. They were right we did not belong in that worldly place.. Even the world knew we did not belong there...
We have decided that before we go into any place ever again we will seek the lord to find out if we belong there.
The path of the Lords people is a narrow one however it is one that is covered with protection from these types of things..
I am happy to say we are at home where we belong in our little bit of heaven here on this earth where we belong.. I praise the Lord for opening our eyes and our ears so that we can see the world for what it truely is.
God bless each of you..
