you decide to just make a headcovering for no reason and get it done in an hour and a half lol. I'm actually happy with this, I just eyeballed it from one I liked on the Jewish covering pages. The sides are alittle nappy but overall it's cool. I can fold it also and make a headband. Please ignore my terrible housekeeping lol! Kat

Thank you for putting the picture on...You did a great job.
It's fun making things by hand. Once I crocheted a little bonnet for my daughter with no pattern...I was just fiddling with it and made a beautiful bonnet, I do not even know how I made it, I only know basic crochet. ;D
Have a great day sister Katrina.

Thanks! I understand that, this covering came out great but all my other ones are sort of wonky. I have a really uneven head to boot so it's interesting trying to get them to fit . Katrina

I like these coverings too. They are very comfortable and stay on well. I made me one to wear around the house. I am fond of the jewish coverings. I like snoods well, also. I mostly have snoods. I homemade some and then bought some off of ebay. You did a great job!!!

This is one I made when I first started covering. It is more of a winter cap. I have recently just started wearing it again. All it is, is a gathered large circle with a brim.

Thanks! Cool pics! I like the snoods too. I have Hebrew hair lol, so for some reason Jewish coverings stay better on me. I can't wear a veil to save my life lol. Katrina

It's pretty!
I miss thrift stores, I have no idea how women here make coverings since the fabric stores are crazy priced.

I know...I can't even afford to make my girls clothing. And material just isn't made good anymore. Thread is bad too, so light and thin. Our thrift store is awesome. They stuff a paper grocery sack with clothes plum past the brim for only $5. I get alot of good stuff, and modest too. Some I have to alter to be modest, but where there is a will, there is a way.

I agree, fabric prices are nuts. I was going through a bag and found some fabric I had stored away so whoo! I should be making some more coverings hopefully. I like to alter clothes too, I have to mend alot since I'm so short. Figures skirts are too short and dresses are too long, yikes Kat

I find fabric at a good cost, wash it, stick it in a box and can't seem to figure out what to do with it sometimes. There are enough fabric stores in town that I can get a good deal sometimes. Also I get coupons from Joann's Fabric and they are worth 4o% to 50% sometimes. I do need to make some new coverings.
