Dear Brethren,
I thought I would ask you to pray for the boy John Mark (age 17 he is Seventh Day Adventist, and I do not believe he is saved.), who was hit, and the service man (''Jenkins'' who is around 40 years of age), who totaled his new car.
On Sunday afternoon at the house we were eating at and spending a lovely afternoon with our precious friends and fellow church goers. We were on the front porch watching a storm come over the mountains (Beautiful to behold...Awsome!)
All the sudden a boy everyone knows from the community goes to turn in their driveway and right before he turned the man behind him went to pass him. The boy was on a Moped and did not use any turn signals. He is known in the community for being a little wild ( not a bad boy, just reckless and not careful)
The man came up beside him and all the sudden the boy turned his motor bike and hit the man in the car. We saw the whole thing! The man swerved went off the road and back onto the road. It tore his passenger side mirror off ( thats what hit the boy) His air bags blew out the dash and front window, there were weeds and dirt hanging from the bottom of his car.
The man was not hurt neither was the boy! Praise the Lord! I gave them both a handful of good gospel tracts. The one on top said: Do you have Heart Trouble? I told them after seeing all that happen I even have heart trouble! ;D
The man had been training for armed service and was driving home. This is the first real nice car he has ever had. And the first with collision Insurance too. Please pray the boy will take care of his responsibility.
The man was not upset about his car he was just upset that he hit the boy, he did not want him to be hurt. He said his boy is about the same age and just went over to Iraq.
Please pray that this will sober their thoughts, and make them turn to Calvary and accept the Lord Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.
We (our family) are still shook up over seeing such a thing. Please pray the Lord will use it in our hearts to save lost family members and cause us to strengthen that which remains because our time is short on earth. It's but a vapor.
Blessings to all, ~ sister Darlene ~
