Apparently, new year has arrived 15 minuets ago, here in England...
I wouldn't have known, only fireworks disturbed my quiet moment listening to Cowper's old hymn, 'There is a fountain, filled with blood':
1. There is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Emmanuel's veins; and sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains. Lose all their guilty stains, lose all their guilty stains; and sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains.
2. The dying thief rejoiced to see that fountain in his day; and there may I, though vile as he, wash all my sins away. Wash all my sins away, wash all my sins away; and there may I, though vile as he, wash all my sins away.
3. Dear dying Lamb, thy precious blood shall never lose its power till all the ransomed church of God be saved, to sin no more. Be saved, to sin no more, be saved, to sin no more; till all the ransomed church of God be saved, to sin no more.
Bro. Steve.

I went into work New Years Eve morning at 3:00 A.M. for a special job. I was exhausted the rest of the day. We slept in the new year.

I can sympathize with you Bro. Steve Where we live there are two bars down the street and they both play country music starting Dec. 1st and ending the day after new years Sometimes we can hear it in our house. I get so tired of hearing country music. It especially rubs me the wrong way to hear Silent night and Joy to the world being played from a bar by county music singers. Well enough ranting and complaining Wishing all of you a blessed New Year

At our home we feel like if it is new years eve then Lord willing it is going to be new years day when we wake up after a blessed nights sleep. And then we are ready to start another day and another year of serving the Lord as best we know how! I've never understood the draw people have of seeing in the new year, most people just find it another excuse for partying I suppose! All that being said...I do wish each and everyone of you a very good year, may you draw closer to the Lord this year and may you be abundantly blessed by God. Blessings and Prayers, Sister Pamela Johanna

We were in bed and asleep at our normal time on New Year's Eve. I didn't like celebrating it even before I was saved.
